Great, once you understand it’s nature.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. With both lens stabilization and camera sensor stabilization deactivated, this lens is sharp and consistent at all focal lengths. On occasion with both stabilization systems active I get some softness in the corners at 16mm due to the sensor/lens elements moving outside of their ideal placements for sharpness to correct for perceived camera movement, so I find it’s best to shut those systems off unless I’m shooting hand-held at very low shutter speeds.

Amazing lens!
||Posted .I'm a professional real estate photographer and recently switched to Sony. This lens is perfect for what I shoot. It's attached to my a7II and the images are super sharp with well controlled flair and distortion. My clients have noticed a change for the better in all my work. I'm very pleased with the results I am getting with this great lens.

Fantastic Lens to Have
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed.Fantastic Lens used for both my a7c and a6600 for our YouTube cooking show The Felix's. Joys of Cooking. Three lenses for everything, and this one defiantly is a must-have. This lens is great for stills and videos.

AMAZING
||Posted .I bought this lens to pair up with my a7iii and this thing kills it! Its ridiculously sharp and even though it's only an f4 lens, paired up with the a7iii's super awesome lowlight performance and hi iso capabilities it's a perfect match!

The only choice in Sony wide angle zoom
||Posted .I recently switched from Nikon to Sony and having had the the Nikon 14-24mm, I wanted something comparable for my A7R for my landscape needs. This lens fills that need very well and has a more useable zoom range. It's a stop slower but not an issue with the sensitivity of the latest sensors being produced. Very sharp with minimal distortion.

Sony 16-35 mm zoom lens, excellent lense
||Posted .I purchased this lens after reading the reviews posted on Best Buy and other internet sites. I normally use my old Canon FD lenses with a fixed focal length and adaptor on my A7II. However, my Canon 17mm F2 with the adapter produces pretty sever vignette and distortions, so I picked this up as an "open box" item to see how much better of a picture I could get at the 16mm side of the zoom. I doubt if I will ever use the old Canon 17mm again. This lens gives sharp, flat pictures, corner to corner. Another note, although not really mentioned, is this lens goes into a macro mode and takes excellent close up photos.

Q: QuestionCan you use this lens on an Sony A6500?
Asked by Salvo.
- A:Answer You can use any E mount lens on any E mount Sony. With the a6500 there is a crop factor of 1.5 so you will not be getting 16-35mm however. It will be a 24-47mm equivalent on the a6500.
