1. The unit, with the cap fastened securely, has a waterproof specification of IPX7*1 as specified in “Degree of protection against water immersion” of the IEC60529 “Ingress
Protection Rating (IP Code)”, and a dust proof specification of IP6X*2 as specified in “Degrees of protection against solid foreign objects”.*
*1 IPX7 equivalency: The speaker has been tested to and maintains its operability when gently submersed in water to a depth of 1m and left for 30 minutes.
0 IP6X equivalency: The speaker has been tested to and continues to block dust after stirring for 8 hours in a testing device which contains dust particles that are up to 75 μm in diameter.
2. Do not place the system directly on sand, such as in a sandbox or on a sandy beach.

I was looking for a affordable speaker which packs a punch of bass and sounds really well. My first sound test with the speaker was amazing. It paired really fast with my phone. I went upstairs to see if I could still hear it and well, I did (In a 2 story house)! It wasn't even at max volume and I don't know how but I could hear the bass from the radiator really well. Especially on any wooden surface like my kitchen table, it really passed the Bass through it and vibrated it, making it its own speaker! Really enhancing the audio and volume of the speaker. But Not just on wood but on any other surface it does really well. Even when it's hanging from the strap or just floating in the air, it still packs the best bass I've heard out of a small speaker. Although the speaker at 60$ is "kind of" worth the price. But at 40$ plus any additional promo codes for a lower price is definitely the "best buy" for a small Sony speaker which can get up to 95 Db is really worth the money. I use this everyday. It even is louder than my brother's JBL charge 5 , in some situations. Anyways for any young or older sound enthusiasts looking for a small, loud, reliable, durable, and waterproof speaker(Also this does really well for playing music while showering, especially hanging it over the shower head with the strap). I'd say this is an excellent speaker for Christmas, birthday's, etc. Best Buy Customer, GL and Partially Dad

Perfect Portable Speaker

It is super portable and I can chuck it in any backpack and some purses I own. I have converted into a Sony girl in the last year, initially via their camera equipment. Now I can say I love their audio accessories too. This speaker is very portable, has just the right amount of volume to create but not disturb a vibe. It connects to my Bluetooth devices very quickly, and it chooses whichever one is closest to it within 3-4 seconds. The range is also pretty great, I’m sure the exact amount but I’ve been about 50ft away and it still plays clearly. The battery life is great, just enough for a long day or weekend trip. There is an app available for this, I don’t usually use it.. only if to check the battery percentage before heading out. I also think it’s fantastic that they offer a stereo feature, I will be purchasing an identical speaker to compliment this one soon. I live an active lifestyle and throw this speaker just about anywhere, it has kept its integrity through all the various adventures it’s been on. Very rugged for those who are out and about often. This is great for those on the go that want a smaller, lightweight speaker that gives out quality and clear sound. One thing that would be great to see would be more variety it color, I love the coral orange but it would be great to see some hot pinks in their next rendition of these speakers for the Sony girls out here.

Okay but could be better

I started off with one and ended up getting a second to link them and get a little more sound. Overall they’re good and have a good rich sound. I also don’t particularly like that I have to download a Sony app to connect to them. Especially when friends come over; they can’t just connect to it, they have to download the app too if they want to play music from their phones. Overall they do the job and I like the colors.

It's small and light weight but has really good sound for its size. It's not gonna blast your ears off but it's perfect for a bedroom or small backyard. Battery is decent too. Gives hours of music play before needing a charge.

If kept in moderate to low volume, the battery life lasts me for way more. I love the warmth of the music when listening with this speaker.
