  A: Hi jrfromffx, Thanks for the question! The Party Connect and Stereo Pair functions on Sony speakers do require the use of the Sony Music Center app for initial setup. Once you have paired the speakers using the app, you can connect them to another Bluetooth device that does not have the app and still enjoy stereo sound. However, the initial pairing and grouping must be done through the app. To use the Stereo Pair function, 2 SRS-XE300 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy more powerful sound. You can connect multiple speakers (up to 100 speakers) compatible with the Party Connect function via BLUETOOTH connections and enjoy music playback. You can purchase a commercially-available USB AC adaptor capable of delivering an output current of 1.5 A or 3.0 A. It is also safe to leave it plugged because charging stops when the Li-ion battery is full. A topping charge is only applied when the battery voltage drops to a certain level. To maximize battery life, however, it is better to not keep it plugged in. Environmental conditions, not cycling alone, govern the longevity of lithium-ion batteries. Do not charge in conditions too cold or too warm (below 41F or above 95F) When not in use, keep the device stored in a cool place, partially charged. Operating condition between 30 and 80 percent maximizes battery life. Lithium-Ion batteries have no memory and are not degraded with partial discharges. The worst situation is keeping a fully charged battery at elevated temperatures. The XG300 speaker is perfect for bringing a big sound to a portable party.
