Still a Beautiful phone a year later...
||Posted .Owned for 11 months when reviewed.1 year later and still loving it! Super slim 16x9 display, HDR still current in 2022. Have this without a case and it is gorgeous. Battery still holds charge all day a year later. Almost stock android with sony perks.

Best Sony Phone made - and for me bests period
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I have owned Sony phones since they started using 4K displays years ago. My last phone the Xperia XZ2 Premium was great but had some flaws. Battery power was not the best, no headphone jack, heavy and thick, no wireless charging (though the phone before that the Xperia Z5 Premium did have it), the finger print reader was on the back of the phone and not on the power button like the Z5. This Xperia 1 II fixed all those issues. Battery lasts all day. Form and fit of the phone is great in my hand. The phone charges in all the wireless chargers that fit the Samsung phones. It would take a huge upgrade in the future to make me want to give up this phone. I also want to say that I am impressed with Sony devices and their service. Over the years I have gotten Android software upgrades before most other manufacturers did (sometimes by many months) and Sony firmware updates come at a regular clip too. This phone is not for everyone. The cost is high and the form and fit is a personal thing that may not work for everyone either. For me I would not trade it in for anything.

DLSR in a Phone
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Sony always goes under the radar with their phones. Almost a bit disappointing that people don't pay more attention when Sony releases a phone. The 4K HDR screen is definitely the best for any smart phone. But the biggest strength regarding this phone is the camera. To be able to record 4K HDR, at 60fps is incredible. The phone is able to do this as it has two versions of a camera. The normal Android camera for smart phones, but then it also has a pro camera, that acts as a 4K recorder and DSLR camera. The settings and adjustments are a bit overwhelming, but are amazing once you understand how it works.

Best phone in the market.
||Posted .Owned for 5 months when reviewed. One of the best phones I've ever had. Super fast and responsive. The camera is excellent and very sharp. Literally like shooting on an Alpha series camera. The sound quality is excellent and supports a lot of codecs, hifi sound for sure. The 4k oled screen is fantastic, it's like having an oled tv in your pocket. Really comfortable phone. The battery life is outstanding as well for having a 4k screen. Too many things to list, really outstanding phone.

Decent
||Posted .Owned for 9 months when reviewed. The hardware seems pretty decent, camera mode only in manual mode that's it's decent, videos are only good on cinema pro which also throws another learning curve, the new Android software is mehh. I've been using Sony phones for over a decade and I waited for this one because of the 3.5 mm jack but other than that it's not really an improvement from my really old but still great Xperia Premium that I had.

Missing free earbuds they lied
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I was looking for a phone with the following: Large screen, great battery, best camera, water resistant 1p65/68, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, MicroSDXC up to 1TB, wireless charging, top bezels. This phone supports and provides all the features I was looking for. The phone is super fast, smooth. The sound quality and visual quality is top-notch, excellent for watching movies, music videos, creating and editing your own videos. I am still learning how to use this phone, but so far this is my favorite phone.

Finally a Perfect Smartphone
||Posted .Fantastic phone. I feel like many top tier smartphones inevitably make trade-offs somewhere. The Samsung Galaxy has lots of unpolished bloatware, the iPhone Pros are heavy and unwieldy, and the Pixels tend to have QA problems with every build. I haven't found any cons with this phone, yet. I think I am in love with this perfect smartphone.

Great Phone
||Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed.A great phone. I got this to replace a phone I had broken while in the process of moving. The phone is responsive, has plenty of storage space, a great camera, and it has solid battery life. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but that is to be expected with a flagship caliber phone.

Q: QuestionI would be thrilled with a phone that has 256gb of memory, does this phone really have that much? That would make application fly, everything stays in RAM. Per the headline it does, I can't wait to get mine.
Asked by ManBearPig.
- A:Answer No it's storage capacity, not RAM. Not even high-end PC's have that much RAM.

Q: QuestionDoes this phone work with Verizon?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, it has the 4g bands to work on Verizon. it would work as a CDMA-less phone. You just need to call Verizon support to enable CDMA-less in their end and then text and everything works fine. I have done this for over 2 years - no problems.
