Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Standard Edition - Xbox One

I'll start by saying I don't know alot about Star Wars, the game is about becoming a jedi. The combat is similar to Sekiro and there's climbing that reminds me of uncharted. Also there is wall running. If you're looking for a great game with awesome graphics, then get this.

Great game! if your a star wars fan then it's a must have!!! Its very unique in how it plays. It's good but can make you use a little brain power sometimes in trying to figure stuff out. But all around good game. Feels similar to the force unleashed games. But obviously better graphics

***contains spoilers*** This is a really cool Star Wars game. Only thing is I wish there was a separate mode for dueling or arena fights. Gauntlet mode?? Reason why is because after you beat the game there's no lightsaber battles. That's really too bad. There are bounty hunters that pop up in certain spots when you revisit planets but, that's no Sith. Towards the end of the Story you visit a prison where Inquisitors "break" Jedi and other beings. Part of the way through there's an Imperial Dojo where Imerial Troops practice there fighting techniques with each other and droids. You have to fight a few waves of regular troopers and special troops. This was a great section in the game but, you cannot revisit this planet. When you go to that planet, beat it. That's it. No replayability. I feel that was a big opportunity missed. There's also a quick arena style battle when Cal and BD-1 get captured by a bounty hunter. When you get close to your escape you enter this arena where this Scum pits you against creatures and beasts. Anyways Great game just would be cool if they put a seperate "gauntlet" mode in the game after you beat the story. Maybe with more Sith also??

I've really enjoyed playing this game since I pre-ordered it. The graphics and scenery look awesome on my Xbox One X. Different planet locations have lots of scenic details and look like they could be from real locations. The game also has a great story line thus far and I've enjoyed unlocking/upgrading new abilities along the way. However, when playing on medium difficulty some of the enemies can be really frustrating to defeat without several tries, which wouldn't be a big deal if the load times weren't so long between respawns. I'm glad they put the feature of regaining your experience/life points when attacking the enemy that killed you on the last try! The puzzles are fun to figure out and I've only had to resort to online walkthroughs a couple times after getting really stuck. Overall, I can definitely say it's one of the best Star Wars games ever. I really enjoyed the campaigns in BF2 and the constant action in Force Unleashed I and II--and this is on par with those and even better sometimes with the puzzle solving parts thrown in instead of pure button mashing action. I guess I could try backing down the difficulty to Padawan to make the gameplay easier but I just can't bring myself to do it and enjoy the challenge of the Jedi Master difficulty level, despite the frustrating moments at times. Bottom line--this is a great game that looks impressive, is really fun, and rewarding as well. I would highly recommend it to any Star Wars or action/adventure fans.

Hands down, I can't think of a better Star Wars story that has come out since KOTR. The story and characters are fun, the combat is challenging enough (I'm playing on the 2nd to hardest and would recommend it for anyone that prefers not a cakewalk), and the game completely pulls from the following games: Dark Souls-ish on the combat....much easier than those games. Titanfall 2 wall runs...but it is from Respawn Prince of Persia climbing and balancing Zelda Gamecube era puzzles (not as well thought out, but still fun) Metroid Prime backtracking and map I had no expectations going into this game, but have had real blast playing it. My biggest gripes are that the platforming and combat could use some more refinement, just feels off a bit. And my biggest complaint is that the graphics look hazy as all hell on my 4K/HDR tv and yes I've adjusted and played around with the settings and seen the SAME issues on my friends OLED screen as well. It's the game and wish they had spent more time on the visuals and performance. Also.....the game ran like complete trash on my internal hard drive on the Xbox One X. As soon as I transferred to an external it ran much better.

This game perplexes me, I am a HUGE Star Wars nerd so I am certain I overlook a lot of flaws. The story is good, levels are fun, large levels that can be explored and revisited, overall it's good. The bad : searching levels takes forever, the holomap is not very user friendly and if the new location you are looking for is on the other side of the map good luck. Every time you refill your life all enemies respawn, seems pretty dumb. Jumping to a ledge before you get the double jump is very frustrating, if you are a tenth of a second early or late you jump like a 500 pound dog or get stuck under the ledge until you backup and try again. Overall, I like the game, going to complete it with 100% but it could have been so much better I think! It could have been amazing, as is it's just good.

So I will say this I have bought multiple games in 2019 however this game is probably the best to date. Let me say after the EA battlefront games I did not have hope for them producing a quality Star Wars Game. I was wrong. I got this game Friday and it has me hooked. There are no microtransactions like in Battlefront 1 and 2. The story is gripping and introduces some great new characters to star wars and even some familiar ones show up. The graphics are great. Overall a Quality game fro EA and possibly the best game I have played all year.
