Now ofcourse this purchase was based only because of current 3d blu ray available content. Purchased with low expectations of plot etc. but with excitement for quality 3d i took a shot. I must say the 3d is awesome on our Sony 55". And...the same fiancee of mine who was all on my back about purchasing another tv because we didn't really need a new one can't get enough. I have now suffered/enjoyed 3 straight nites of Step Up because she loves the 3d. Typical cliche story. You can get through rather enjoyably. Dancing is good. Best scene to me is their first battle. Fiancee' really enjoys the 2nd battle and the overall 3d of the movie is just amazing at times! Highly recommended if caught at a decent price and have a little time to kill with low expectations of plot.

I went ahead and purchased this based on the reviews here as well. Not to bad of a movie. 3d wasn't to bad. At times it did seem like the 3d was busy on screen and causes a lil out of focusing. The plot was very similar to "You got Served" ( where dancing movies started). The dacing was okay, nothing much I haven't really seen. There is depth to the 3d which is what this format should be about. Am I disappointed in the purchase, no. Do I think its a fantastic movie, no. It was a tad above par at best overall. $34.99 is a better suited price. Its not up there with the 3d animation movies I own. Obviously it is easier to make a 100% animation movie shot for 3d near perfect compared to live footage. Alice in wonderland and Avatar are at the top of the list for live 3D however they do contain a large percentage of CG.

I am a big fan of the Step Franchise. I actually liked Step Up 2 more than this one. I don't know why.....I think the story was ok. **Spoiler Alert** I find it hard to believe that if Luke was good friends with Julien then he would know that he has a hot sister(Natalie) in London. The choreography in this movie was Awesome!! What makes this movie so special is the 3D. There is SOOOOOOOOO much depth that it totally makes this movie immersive. It even beats the incredible Dispicable Me as far as depth goes and Resident Evil:Afterlife. It also has some REALLY good POP OUT effects through out the film. It is truly amazing!!!

Ok- I wasn't too sure about picking up this one really, but after reading a couple of reviews I decided to give it a try...WOW I am glad I did, this one is a MUST for your 3D collection!! The dance moves are outstanding especially in the battle scenes and in the slow motion too! Great 3D at it best....Looking forward to more titles to come out that highlight the 3D this well... You go wrong by this purchase you'll be glad you did.

Ive had a 3D tv for a few months now had a few different 3D titles to watch, Ive Seen this movie in theatres and then again when i bought it on 3D Blu-Ray. I can honestly say the 3D was probably the best ive seen from a home Blu-Ray yet. If you get the settings on your T.V. just right the writing and the dance moves really seem to jump off the screen.

My family saw the Movie in the theater and loved it. When we heard that it was out on dvd we ordered it right away. We thought that it was in 3D but it was not. they should specify that in the wording. I was told that it was just the title of the movie only. You have to buy Blue ray for it to be in 3D. The movie was great, but if you want 3D beware that this is not . I did return it.

This movie is a great addition to the Step Up series, and it definitely takes it up a notch with the special effects. The dancing is superb as usual and a beloved character from the previous two movies gets their moment to shine! The music chosen for the movie is also upbeat and catchy.

The Plot of this movie was alright. Not something to write home about. The choreography was AMAZING. Some of the moves pop out of the screen. The depth in this movie puts everything else to shame. It really is something special.
