The best televsion that I've ever seen
Posted .This video set is the *most* outstanding television that I have ever seen. I always been a 20th century US history buff but never cared much for history before the WW1 era. Ken Burns brings the politics, the attitudes and the people of the Civil War era alive in the most stunning piece of filmwork that I have ever seen. The struggles that caused this terrible and tragic war are covered in detail from the point of view of both sides of the conflict. Burns makes the viewer understand why both sides fought and what both sides believed was at stake. This should be required viewing for all high school history class students.

Posted .Even though this dvd set was released 18 years ago, it's a must have dvd set for Civil War buffs. Best Buy was the most trusted online site for me that sells it.
