A whole new way to experience Skyrim!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned and finished Skyrim on my XBox 360, played it again when the "Special Edition" came out on my XBox One, and now playing through it again with my PSVR. Despite having played this game to death, it's such an INCREDIBLE experience to play it in VR and to be ACTUALLY INSIDE THE GAMEWORLD! After starting it in VR and playing for 7 hours straight, I lost track of how many times I said "Wow! That's awesome!" as I revisited familiar locations in the Game World. The immersion level is awesome and though many may complain about the somewhat "fuzzy" graphic quality, the feeling of immersion and feeling like you're actually walking around in Tamriel is absolutely breathtaking. I'm actually quite happy with the overall graphic quality (I'm playing on a PS4 Pro) and kudos to Bethesda for giving players so many VR "comfort" options so that those more prone to motion sickness can set the options to make it more comfortable. I personally have no issues with "VR Sickness" since I've been playing with my PSVR for almost a year now, so I've disabled all the extra VR limitation settings to give myself the full experience! This is a DEFINITE MUST BUY for any current PSVR owner and also a great way for people still thinking about getting a PSVR to finally pick up a headset and experience the wonder of VR.

It works!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skyrim is my only VR game that I return to after the novelty has worn off. This is the same, entire fantastic game, playable in VR, with move controllers. The graphics take a huge hit, and some balance issues come about because you can perform actions much faster than you can with a controller, but this is an incredible way to replay an incredible game. The feelings of standing by a waterfall in a cave, drawing your bow while sneaking up to a goblin, or getting to a mountain top under the stairs are incredible in VR. Especially recommended if you are used to VR and don't get motion sick. There are great movement options for people who do get sick, but they are not afraid to let you turn them all off and walk around like normal if you want, which I appreciate.

Outstanding PSVR System Seller!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After logging more that 200 hours in PC Skyrim, I thought there was no reason to revisit it again. I was wrong! It took me a few hours to adapt to using the move controllers, and to adjust screen brightness and controls properly, but once done in in love with Skyrim all over again. Hundreds of hours await you, and while the resolution is far lower than what I played with on pc, the game is so immersive, you'll find totaled just gawking around while in caves, or just taking in the night sky. You could easily just buy a psvr and Skyrim and justify its purchase. My wife also gets motion sickness, but she can play Skyrim for hours without problems. If you are considering getting it, Just Do It!

A Virtual Visit to Skyrim
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are not many titles that can boast being open world and VR. This is the same game most of us know and love, but the VR aspect adds a new dimension. Personally, I find the game to be more of a technical feat than the preferred method of play. There are certainly episodes, events, and highlights that take advantage of the VR technology, but once the novelty has worn off, I do not anticipate any but the most diehard of the VR or TES fans/enthusiasts will have a lasting appeal for the countless hours it takes to play through Skyrim. Between Doom VR and Skyrim VR, on the basis they were released the same date, I would venture to say Doom is the better VR iteration, because it is a different game, designed around VR rather than a different perspective of the same game. I'm not disappointed with the purchase overall, but for my style of play, shorter sessions in a game packed with as much content as Skyrim tends to make the VR presentation less appealing.

A Very Awesome but Very Downgraded Experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Playing Skyrim in VR almost made me feel like I was playing Skyrim for the first time. Having a new perspective in the game really shows off just how large the world is. I've discovered so many new places and details I've never noticed before as I've actually taken a lot more time to explore off the beaten path with the new perspective. The only real problem Skyrim VR has when compared to Skyrim Special Edition is that the current tech just isn't powerful enough to make the game look good. The graphics are often blurry and there is a lot of pop up. Viewing vast distances leaves you with nothing more than an empty and muddy looking texture. Hopefully as the tech improves and with more power, these issues will be a thing of the past and Skyrim VR can look as good as Skyrim Special Edition. Overall, I really enjoyed Skyrim VR and it is a good example of the potential of VR once the tech progresses. I highly recommend this game to any Skyrim fan and all PSVR owners. 4 out of 5 stars

A great way to experience the world of Skyrim.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, it's not a perfect VR experience by any means, but it's a lot of fun and a way to really experience the world of Skyrim. This is the full on game with all the DLC and it looks pretty good in VR. I do have a few caveats that keep it from greatness (or 5 stars in this case), the controls can take a bit getting used to and motion sickness will ensue if you can't handle it, but that could be said for any game in VR, but Skyrim does have a lot of walking. It supports Move thankfully and you'll be swinging your sword and holding your shield with ease. The menu navigation is a bit lackluster using move and I found myself using the dual shock for menus and the Move for everything else. It's not a perfect system, but the experience of Skyrim in your face is worth the price of admission. If you can nab this game on sale, 40 bucks or lower, I'd recommend it highly. There's still a lot to explore in such a large VR package. P.S. don't expect 4K textures and super high res in VR, a bit of a shame but the graphics are not on par with, say, Blood & Truth.

A Breath of Fresh Air With a Familiar Smell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's face it, we are in the era where remakes, remasters, and re releases are king. Outside of the standard texture upgrade or two, there's not much added to enhance the experience. Skyrim, has been re-released on everything but Samsung's latest high end refrigerators....just give it time. That is not to say that it is not one of the best experiences offered since its 2011 release, but it has not exactly reinvented the wheel. What Skyrim VR does right, is it has successfully created a fresh take on the game. Offering two different control schemes, along with an option for full locomotion to boot. What I liked most about the experience is allowed for complete immersion in its vast world of winding dungeons and dark catacombs. The implementation of the VR Headset made me want to walk around and explore everything. It is truly a fresh take on an otherwise old formula, but one that is more than invited to experience. Good job Bethesda. I would recommend this game to added to anyone with a VR Headset collection.

Physical copy of this Gem in VR? Hell yes!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a VR set you owe it to yourself to find a physical copy of skyrim. Is not just a game but an experience. Play it with your favorite celtic melodies , & you're good to go. Kind of scary when you gotta face a dragon cause they look really big, the sense of scale looks real. You might have played skyrim in regular mode but VR is something else. Happy purchase here.( Not for kids)

Q: QuestionI have Skyrim special edition. In order to play Skyrim VR, do I need to pay for Skyrim all over again with this VR version as well as get a VR set, or is there a way I can get my VR set and use it on Skyrim without having to rebuy.
Asked by keegan.
- A:Answer You must have a vr headset and a vr version of any game you'd like to play. I hope that helps you!

Q: QuestionCan you play this game normally as well as VR?
Asked by Nicole.
- A:Answer Sadly, no. You can only play this version with the VR headset. There is another version available for the PS4 for that is non-VR called Skyrim Special Edition.
