A movie riding on the thematics of 'Firestarter' and 'Carrie' in psychic based horror of the mind, 'The Sender' could be shelved on the cheesy predictable cliche's of 80's horror long ago. Predating 'Nightmare on Elm Street', this movie's music and themes of dreams and reality could linger as a suspense-mystery rather than gorish shock horror of the 2000's. A movie of sink-in-seat chills over jolts and shock, the movie may bore some viewers or be a surprise to new nostalgic viewers.
