I have been a Fan of Tom Clancy style of games for a while. I knew going into this it would not be Rainbow six or Rainbow six vegas but, that is the type of feel I was expecting after the news of the cancelled rainbow six patriots, and they were concentrating efforts on Siege which was not good as advertised. My pros for game:1. Open world interaction style of game where you chose pace of missions and how your team should go in and attack mission but some become vey generic and high risk for little reward. 2. Yes it is cool friends can squad up with you vs. NPC's which can either mess up a sneak attack or force you to make a move you don't want to do because you hit the wrong button lol! ( I Will get into this in a minute) 3. Weapons and custom them to your own needs and likes galore! Cons: 1.The open world can send you into missions you are not ready for or mess up the storyline a bit if your team is not equipped or ready yet because those UNIDAD soldiers will pop out of nowhere and go all SWAT team GTA style on you quick when you are trying to plot a mission or a NPC on your squad will pop off at the wrong time and bingo you are in a fire fight. 2. Getting back to my title I was disappointed that they did not add the elements of Siege and Rainbow six Vegas of having your team of having the option to stack up on certain doors blast it open and use a under the door camera to peak in or remote camera to check hard to reach places while you engage from another door. I tried on a couple of side missions but NPC wait until you are near dead to come in and fight while you look for info or hack into computers for intel. 3. The buttons get a little tricky to cycle through when you are giving commands on that wheel thing and for the options of throwing a lethal weapon and using different options on your gun gets interesting, 4. As much as I like the custom mod guns, some of them you cannot mod which is stupid because why even give me that gun then lol! Fight a cartel boss and see what I am talking about. 5. The AI enemy will annoy of how fast they come out of nowhere to support or will be dumb as nails where they are right next to you and not see you. I could go on but I think you get the picture lol! Game fly this, play at your friend house first or hey try it at RED box before you buy! Good luck everyone!

I've read reviews for this game but I had fun in the beta so whatever I bought it. Games simple, you and your squad of special forces "ghosts" fly, drive, boat, parachute, run, sneak around Bolivia trying to cripple a Mexican cartel headed by the dreaded El Sueno that's taken over while trying to strengthen the rebel resistance. Smuggling, Influence, Distribution, and Security are the 4 cornerstones of the Santa Blanca cartel. To weaken it each branch has a boss you must extract to the CIA agent you work for but to reach the boss their are 4-5 buchons(sub leaders) that control a random province that work for the boss of that specific branch. You complete missions to draw out the buchon that in turns draws out the boss. It can range from assassinations, sabotage, intel gathering, rebel assistance to kidnapping sicarios and other stuff. You can approach each mission either guns blazing (though it does add more soldiers trying to kill you) or tactically with your buddies moving in and taking out lights, snipers, generators, using drones for weak points in defense, asking for rebel diversion while you sneak around enemies, etc etc there are lots of ways to approach an objective. You can level up and upgrade abilities and your rebel support by finding weapons cases, sicarios medals, valuable intel and helping secure food, medicine, comms, and gasoline scattered around each province. Sounds fun? It is but it does get repetitive and honestly after you finish the game there is little replay-ability aside from doing previous missions over again. That being said I'm nowhere close to finished. I'm about 40 HOURS in and only took out 4 provinces(there's 16 altogether) Best played with friends personal or online. If you want added difficulty try no HUD with realistic difficulty, it gets crazy.

The game is pretty decent; and if you can get it on sale all the better. You can play 2-4 player co-op, but the game is playable solo (... just make the AI squadmates wait in a far off direction). There is a good amount of action, and the map is fairly big; good thing there is a fast travel option once you've discovered an area. There is not a deep story; especially if you decide to do more of the open world activities, and gear hunt. Once you beat the main game, getting a season pass can grant you a nice amount of DLC. I'd say research what exactly you would be getting with the DLC for yourself, but I think there is a good amount of it. Though I stopped playing after I got both endings, I did try some of the first DLC offering and it started me off in a whole new different setting/game/character/story. I think there is a whole lot more, and they are also I believe supporting the game for a second year; though research for yourself- online reviews, youtube. I did put this down after I beat the main game, and picked back up on 2 other games I wanted to play again, but I'd recommend this game to someone as a sale purchase for sure.

This game has a huge map! Once you get past the introduction tutorial the world opens up and you can go anywhere. I like the way that the map is empty of icons at the beginning and you can unlock these icons to show on the map if you find the intel that is scattered everywhere. There are many side missions that you can do without doing any of the main mission. There are 21 provinces that are set in different difficulties. Plus there tons of unlockables to find. You have to find weapons to upgrade. Also there are many upgrades/skills to unlock by doing side missions. Every mission can be completed in multitude of ways... you can sneak in, go in guns a blazing, snipe to eliminate, stealth take downs, and even drive the enemy vehicle right into the middle of the heavily fortified base. The driving/flying mechanics are not great but once you get the hang of it you can uncover the map as you please. You can play up to 4 person co-op or single play with 3 AI. I play single player and love it. I have this game on PS4 and PC with over 100 hours of gameplay. I am not ready to move on yet.

If you're expecting something like the Division or Destiny - this is not it. It's not an rpg. You don't have to shoot an enemy in the face 30 times to destroy them. It's a finite twitch shooter game that you can play with friends. The world is open like Grand Theft Auto 5 with four different groups of people: citizens, rebels, the cartel, and the corrupt Bolivian army. You can drive any vehicle as you travel the insanely huge map that features forests, snow topped mountains, jungles, salt flats, and rivers and lakes. The gameplay is Far Cry 3 outpost infiltration: scan area for enemies, disable alarms and generators, take out lights for added stealth, and complete the varied objectives. The game is not without its problems: Vehicle physics and controls leave a lot to be desired Single player squad AI can be a little problematic What it does right: Amazing graphics and attention to detail for a game of this scope Gunplay is excellent Playing with friends is a blast Game is challenging If the vehicle controls and physics were better and they added enemy boats and attack dogs, this game would be 5/5. Still it is well worth your time especially with friends.

The game is fun, but leaves you queasy. You and your team conduct various direct action missions to degrade a drug cartel in Bolivia. It's very Clear and Present Danger. You fly around in copters, attack outposts, help rebels, capture tangos, etc. Besides your nearly incompetent AI buddies who hardly return fire , the core game play is quite fun. However the plot is full jingoistic crap (made by Ubisoft Paris) of America easily solving a insanely complex problem via military force. You take out the various sections of the cartel but nobody takes it place (basically the opposite of the film Sicario). The characters do various actions which would get them dishonorably discharged and that's not including what your CIA handler does. It's so bad I skip over every cut screen and I'm the type that loves the hour long cut screens from Metal Gear Solid.... So overall, fun, but leaves you queasy. Get it on sale only

Wish it had split screen, but as it is it's a lot of fun for co-op. I haven't played the single player with NPCs since the Beta, but that was a little trickier as far as coordinating attacks. I'm sure with some practice it would be OK, but AI helpers in other games have had a tendency to get in the way more than help... i will update this if i get the change to play some with the NPCs in the full release. One thing i REALLY like, is thtat i have found no Boss-Bullet-Sponges. I like The Division at first, but it got really repetitive and i hate bullet sponges like they use to make missions harder. THIS game uses more enemies, the need to covert missions, and other techniques to make missions challenging. The one thing my son complains about is the Helo mechanics.... they kinda fly clunky. I would agree, but their use is generally not super important to any missions i have done. I have only played on the easy level, and it is a lot of fun. I imagine the harder levels would be exponentially more challenging, and who knows, after we beat the game, maybe we'll give it a go on a harder level to see how good we really are!

This one is a game changer :) sandbox style infused with first-person military shooter is genius. Even feels like Ghost Recon/COD meets GTA. Where has this game been my whole life? The visuals for an open world that needs to use lots of memory and processing by the PS4 is impressive. It has higher value when played in co-op with a friend but otherwise even by itself offers very satisfying gameplay. Replay value is infinite because the # of story missions and side missions seem endless! This game does what The Division couldn't. The in-game interfaces and nuances are much more intuitive than the previously said game. The downside is that it's missing a few gameplay control nuances that could have taken some cues from other games like GTA (e.g. Where's the ability to use your secondary on a motorcycle??). The game does have a few glitches but nothing future patches can't fix. The story/plot doesn't seem very fluid but what sandbox style game does... This game is hard to put down. Worth it for $60? I think so..
