Great new release from a great band

Tonic's new self-titled release delivers everything you'd expect from the band; great songwriting, signature melodies and hooks, and fantastic vocals. This record is not as heavy as "Lemon Parade" or "Head On Straight", parts of it will remind the listener of more of their "Sugar" era stuff with some new ideas as well. "Release Me" and "Daffodil" are already on the radio and are great, catchy songs. "Resolve" might be the best song on the record, but there are no weak tracks on this one. You will very quickly be singing these songs to yourself as the hooks are infectious. "She Goes Down" reminds me of The Beatles a bit, it's very simple yet very powerful. "Everything Is Nothing" is a beautiful ballad with some nice piano and acoustic guitar. If you are a fan of Tonic, Train, or any roots/post grunge pop music BUY THIS!

    Good Rock N Roll

This band has had great mainstream success but took an eight year leave of absense. Emerson Hart is one of the most under rated song writers of rock music and along with his band mates combine original lyrics with edgy and straight forward rock n roll. If you liked their previous efforts then you will be happy with your purchase. If you have never heard of Tonic but like Rock N Roll music with thought provoking lyrics the reward is worth the risk for ten dollars.

Very big fan of all previous Tonic CDs but this CD is by far the most non-rock CD of them all- after a couple of times listening to the CD, not sure if I will ever listen to it again- if you are looing for something different from Tonic, this may be for you
