By far the best headset i ever owned so far...Posted .
i been a avid turtle beach person for a while, but after having sound issues i decide to get a new set. being that im on a budget well i could not afford the real deal gaming headset that are worth 250 dollars, so i went for these, mind you im not a person that love madcatz for there rep with some other products but at the time i did not know tritton was made by them lol...as soon as you unbox them you can feel there the real deal unlike the flimsy turtle beach headset these have a feeling of being made well even though there just plastic. setting the headset up on the xbox 360 is a breeze and had no issues with them, other than the fact that you cant actually have the little xbox 360 keyboard for the controller connected while using these. as far as the ps3 goes now thats where i ran into a bit of problem because the manual was not specific enough about where to go to actually change the settings in order to use them and you have to manually select the optical setting and also the dolby 5.1 setting for them which was a bit of a hassle unlike the xbox 360 which you connect and keep rolling. now for my favorite part, you have front speaker, center speaker, rear speaker then the subwoofer. the best thing about these headset is that you can change the settings to each speaker independently to your liking. so i dont know about all the bad reviews but in my opinion, 9 out of 10 people dont know what there talking about when it comes to these headphones and complain about them when its human error the reason for them not liking them. from a person who has been a turtle beach headset fan from day one im here to tell you that these are the real deal and there not simulated Dolby 5.1 like the turtle and others are. my advice dont worry about the negative comments and take my word for it you will not go wrong with theses, add a 2 year protection plan and your set...I would recommend this to a friend

I highly recommend!!!Posted .
I purchased the AX-Pros on Cyber Monday; Best Buy had a $50 sale on them, this was a big contributing factor for the purchase. I wanted a pair of headphones to primarily play COD. I researched as much as possible and spoke with several friends before making this purchase. I had several recommend the Pros, but I was discouraged because of the price. But with the sale, it placed the Pros in the budget. Well, let me say, I could not be any happier that I made this purchase. Set up was easy, the sound quality is amazing; you can hear people creeping up behind you and know the direction. These are so good that my KD has gone up over 30%. You will hear things in the game that you never knew were there. They are also extremely comfortable, I prefer the cloth over the vinyl ear pads and they are light enough to wear for several hours. I highly recommend, Wait I take that back, do not buy if you play COD. I don’t want the competition to have this advantage!I would recommend this to a friend

Amazing Headset - It's that simple.Posted .
Tritton Technologies made a great headset when they came up with the Tritton AX Pro headset which is compatible with the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. I know there are a lot of reviews about this headset and everyone has different opinions and experiences with this headset. The model i have works flawlessly there is no buzzing sound in the headphones there is a lot of wires but you should have already done a little research before hand. The first "release" had a few flaws like the plastic microphone rather than being flexible (mine is the flexible one). When i first watch a movie with these things it sounded amazing and i have a 5.1 surround sound set-up but nothing compares to these headsets everything is so precise and the bass is really nice its a good amount and there is no distortion in them. Call of duty and shooting games in general sound great to i can literally here where bullets are coming from and where people are sneaking around at, reloading there weapon etc... This will improve your game experience. I would recommend these headsets to anyone who is into there games a lot and enjoy watching movies and loves clear highs and thunderous bass. I have yet to find a problem with this headset !I would recommend this to a friend

it works good its just bound to breakPosted .
ok so the overall headset is good (good sound quality, very comfortable). although it does have a few problems, such as how it will eventually break just from taking it off your head in a normal fashion (i had it for exactly 6 months before it broke). another problem it has is the cord that goes from the headset itself to the little grey box (that you hook up to your console) and the problem i had with it is that it began to twist onto itself and when i untwisted the cord, the speakers inside the headset were starting to act funny (such as the base not working at all, which i never got to work again, and the rear speaker volume not working, which was fixed by turning off & then back on the power to the headset). and the 3rd problem i had, which is minor but still a problem, was that the mic boom, (the actual microphone, that is detachable from the headset) was too short. so ya if you want a good quality headset then i would suggest turtlebeach's x41's, i do not personally own a pair but i've never had a problem with turtlebeach headsets before, except for how uncomfortable they are after a couple hours, but that was the X3's, but the x4's and X41's are somewhat comfortable. I know what you're thinking,"this guy probably is just overexaggerating or something.", that's exactly what i thought when i saw that people were saying they break too easy, but trust me, they WILL break. SOO long story short dont buy these, they are bound to break eventually, just get some turtlebeaches or astros if you got a lot of money to spend ( for the astros not the turtlebeaches)No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Would be great if it was as describedPosted .
I saw this item here at the Best Buy website and after review its ratings through other sources as well I went ahead and bought them at my local store. Same manufacturer, same model, same price but the item in-box was not the same. My AX Pros do not have the G9 PC cable and in fact where the website says compatible with Mac/PC the booklet that came with mine says that they are compatible with Mac/PC (except in the U.S.) which is where I bought them. I was confused as to why I thought they were compatible until I went back to the listing here and voila! I had my answer but now I am weeks out past return window and really hope Best Buy will stand behind this very confusing error. I have no doubt that I would be happy with them if I had an XBox or Playstation, but I play on a PC and there is the crux of the problem. My recommendation is for anything other than PCI would recommend this to a friend

These fell apart on me after only 6 months. The plastic crumbled away where the ear muffs pivot and now rattles around inside the muffs now. I had to duc tape them from falling off the head band. The plastic also crumbled away where the mic fits in which also no longer works. I should have listened to my friend and bought the Turtle beach headphones. Its a shame because the sound quality is good. Another very annoying thing is you can't hear your own voice at all while chatting online. Sounds weird but you keep thinking you aren't pronouncing words correctly. They are also very heavy compared to other headphones out there and amount of wires and connectors is ridiculous. No, I would not recommend this to a friend

For the Above Average GamerPosted .
For starters, this is my second headset. The first headset I had was the Turtle Beach Dx11 at 130 dollars. They were given to me as a christmas present and I had them for around six months. After that time the mic was not picking up my voice, and was making extremely harsh crackling sounds. With a 130 dollar price tag, I found this unacceptable and returned them to BestBuy without any questions asked by the store. Looking for a different product, I bought the Ax Pro's. Starting with looks, I find the Ax Pro's to be an extremely attractive headset. The finish looks good and overall is pleasing to look at. In regards to durability they definitely are thick plastic and feel very sturdy. Although they are heavier then the beaches, they still have the feeling of quality that your looking for when dropping such a large sum of money. Comfort wise I was disappointed out of the box, but after wearing them for a while, I noticed they did seem to become much more comfortable. I have a fairly large head, and this headset does seem to be more adapted for a smaller head size. Now to sound quality, in my opinion the most important category there is when looking for a headset. Out of the box I was disappointed. They were extremely bass heavy and were lacking in highs. But after looking up set ups on youtube to correct the sound drop off and such on the side of the decoder box, as well as adjusting the multiple settings for front, rear, center, and sub, I will say that I have completely reversed my decision. The quality is great, and definitely a step up from the Dx11's. The surround is awesome, and the bass is mind blowing. There are slight problems with the surround when playing games such as call of duty though. Yes, any grenade throws, ammo pick ups, bomb plants, footsteps can be heard and can be isolated to a certain area, but it can be difficult to exactly pinpoint these sounds to a certain area. As far as music goes, they are great to listen to rap, simply because of the bass that they have. Overall, these definitely are a step up from the Dx11's, as they should be with the increased price. If you have the money and want the best of the best, purchase a set of Astro A'40's. They are the best for a reason. But, if your looking for a top of the line headset that is a little cheaper then the A 40's, these will not disappoint.I would recommend this to a friend

Great set of MW2 Gaming headphones.Posted .
Ok, let me start by saying that Im one of those consumers that does research on almost everything I buy. I heard a lot of folks saying that these headphones were the best hing since slice bread, others saying it was a waste of money. What sold me were most of the issues people complained about such as build quality, needing 2 power adapters, and a not so reliable mic, have all been fixed in the 2010 updated version of this headset. Quality is great, strong sturdy, even got spare ear pads. You only need one pwr adapter (provided) and the mic is flexible and works great. So what about the sound? Well out of the box, it comes with everything you need to get set up. i have a PS3 which is what I wanted this for. At first i was very disappointed with the tin like sound until i READ the INSTRUCTIONS! play with the settings on PS3 and the sound module and inline module and BOOM!!!!!!!!!!! I play alot of MW2 and i had to turn the base down alittle as all the explosions were vibrating my head a little to much from the subs... totally owned in a game as I could hear everyone moving and shooting way before I could see them. no more sneeking and shooting me in the back! you know who you are!!! As for the mids and tweets, they were and still are amazing. Yes there are better headsets out there, but they also cost ALOT more, but for the true 5.1 surround experiance in a small package these are great. Watched one Blue ray movie (star trek) and it was great, not quite as crisp as my full size 5.1 surround system but hey its a headset. It still blew me away and I didnt have to wake the wife while watching movie with awesome sound!!!! Buy this if you are looking for a decent headset. dont settle like I have done in the past.. These are great. and hey if it dosent work for you just return it... but you wont be dissappointed.I would recommend this to a friend
