Buyer Beware

The others have pretty much summed it up. I had eagerly awaited the release of this game for over a month and pre-ordered it. I have now learned that I will never again order a game based on hype. I will let you all buy them first and then base my purchase decision on your reviews! lol. Graphics are sub-par for a PS3 release. And there are some screwy things in the game itself - *)using ladders; you must be in the exact right spot or you can't use it, and when you are on the ladder, it looks like a cut scene *)pushing buttons and levers or opening doors; again you must be in the exact right spot to push the button or lever or open the door. Too close or too far and the game doesn't give you the option to do anything. There were times I ran around a level for a long time not knowing what to do next simply because I wasn't in the right spot to open a door or such I passed earlier. *)save points; if you die, you're gonna have to start over at the beginning of the level and do it all over again. Very very frustrating. And just as I was starting to get into the game and possibly give it three stars, it ENDED. It's the shortest game I've ever played. I wouldn't even recommend anybody renting it. There are too many other good games to play. Now I have to try to sell this on eBay and see if I can get some of my money back.

Better than what some reviews say

Some people are spoiled with COD4 that anything less than gets an unfair shake. This game is FAR better than Conflict Denied Ops.
Aside from graphics being a little subpar this is an action packed game. I would recommend this for a beginner or average shooter fan.
I got 20 dollars off of mine so I ponder if it is worth 59.99. I would say it is worth 49.99 or less, but is certainly a good purchase.

Such a disappointment

This game is an enormous disappointment. The concept of an alternate history is great. But the game itself is a huge let down.
The game is very choppy. Whenever it is lodaing it freezes and then skips. The transistion is not smooth at all and it takes forever to load and transistion. I have time to change the channel and check sports scores while it is loading.
The graphics are extremely rudimentary, almost square. We're talking first generation game console bad. They do not do the PS3 justice.
The controls are difficult to get accustomed too and confusing at times, especially if you've played other FPS.
I would not recommend this game to anyone.
It's really a shame, the PS3 has so much potential.

Felt Like A PS2 Game

This game feels incredibly outdated already. As many have pointed out in the reviews, Turning Point looks and plays like a PS2 game - the graphics are very 2001 and, to make matters worse, the game often pauses to load graphics scenes. I can understand that if the graphics are crazy good, but they look like they were designed for previous generation gaming consoles. Far too few weapons are available throughout the game and you often spend pointless minutes climbing up a ladder, hanging from some ledge and things of that nature - none of these things adds anything of value to the gameplay. Spend your money on something else.

I just recently bought this game and I really enjoy playing it. A lot is offered, like being able to climb ladders and you can also turn levers and things to help blow up stuff. Online is great. The shooting looks real, it is a great storyline, the graphics are amazing, it's not too easy or too hard. Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is just a great game overall. I recommend this game to anyone who wants a shoot em' up game with a killer storyline and great graphics, as well as advanced weapons and endless possibilities to what you can do.

this is an awesome game. I love it. the weapons are great and a lot is offered in online play. The campaign mode is cool and the graphics are lifelike. there are endless possibilities of what you can do, like climb ladders and throw people into the ocean. A great storyline too. It is by far the best "shoot em up" game I have ever played. I highly recommend buying it.

The gameplay is very simple. You move through levels easily, but the action is very sluggish and video quality is very poor! The best example is when switching from "hip-fire" to "barrel-sights." Concept is great but totally missed the boat!
