A: The amount of time is dependent on the video capture compression ratio. The compression ratio is controlled by the software for the video capture device. An average compression of 9.7 Mbit/s will give approximately 120 minutes on a 8.5 Gb disc. If the average compression is lowered to 2.5 Mbit/s it will give approximately 480 minutes on a 8.5 Gb disc. The higher the compression the better the video quality.
