    Pretty Pointless

You'd have to real not want airflow to use this thing. It barely circulates a noticeable amount of air unless on high, where it is surprisingly noisy. Low and medium settings are pointless. My goal was to use it at my office desk, where it can get warm during the day, especially for us men. It was very ineffective at being a passive cooling fan. I would have to put it in on high and directly in front of me (within a foot) to feel a breeze of any kind hit my body. Having a standup desk, my plan will now be to by a smaller "regular" fan like we all know from Honeywell and place it on the floor angled up towards my legs/body. This should suffice for moving a simple amount of cooler air my direction. And it probably won't even cost the $20 they want for this thing.

I use mine for work. 1st speed is quite and low, however after a few minutes the breeze stays right on you. At this speed you can still speak to clients clearly. 2nd speed noise goes up, feels good, however the fan will over power a phone call. 3rd setting is perfect ( loud ) however not for office use if you need to speak to others. How big does it look? think of a 2 liter bottle of soda cut 51/2" at the bottom and then add the leg.

I bought this mini fan to put next to my bed to keep cool while I sleep. I like that it has three settings for fan speed. I wish it was quieter, however. It’s louder than I was expecting it to be, and the air that comes out is not as cold compared to another mini table fan I have. For the price of this fan I would say it’s just okay. If you are sensitive to noises as I am, the fan noise might bother you a little.

This wasn't a planned purchase as I picked it up while I was killing time waiting to pick up my daughter at the mall. Quality you would expect from the brand. Bought it to have when sleeping. Works well as a personal fan to blow in a single close spot. Husband says it isn't quite strong enough but I think it works well. I really like the design of the legs bc it can be positioned in almost any angle or height.

I bought this fan for my desk. It has a very nice design, moves a suitable amount of air and is whisper quiet. Only downside is that the switch is on the back of the fan which makes it awkward to turn on/off or adjust while sitting at my desk.

What first attracted me to the Vornado Personal Fan was its' astonishing good looks. Industrial design meets art--similar to Apple products. I have always thought that the full size Vornado fans were well made and put out a lot of air for their size. This desk model is no different, with a lot of air movement with reasonable quietness.

For $10, the fan is nice, compact and powerful. I wouldn't call this super noisy. Design is great and can easily match a professional decor. Has a good weight to it, so it doesn't vibrate around. Only criticism is that the switch be easier to change between settings, but understand that it was engineered the way it was to look sleek.

Well, it used to run really quiet, but after about 5 months worth of 8 hours of use at its highest setting in the evening time, it's now hindered with some annoying squeaks. One setting down will remedy the noise, but who knows how long that will last. I might need to look into the blade-less Dyson options?
