You'd have to real not want airflow to use this thing. It barely circulates a noticeable amount of air unless on high, where it is surprisingly noisy. Low and medium settings are pointless.
My goal was to use it at my office desk, where it can get warm during the day, especially for us men. It was very ineffective at being a passive cooling fan. I would have to put it in on high and directly in front of me (within a foot) to feel a breeze of any kind hit my body.
Having a standup desk, my plan will now be to by a smaller "regular" fan like we all know from Honeywell and place it on the floor angled up towards my legs/body. This should suffice for moving a simple amount of cooler air my direction. And it probably won't even cost the $20 they want for this thing.
