Fun but not as memorable as WD2.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Pros mentioned:Fun, Price, StoryCons mentioned:Characters, Online playI would recommend this to a friendWatch Dogs had a ton of hype back in 2012, once it was released in 2014, it debuted to a ton of flack for it's watered down graphics compared to it's E3 video, but it still sold extremely well. The game was decent enough, some decent sandbox activities, some interesting gameplay mechanics with the hacking, but it lacked an interesting story or engaging lead character and some meh driving and shooting gameplay. The sequel came out 2 years later, improved on pretty much everything the previous game did wrong. After 4 years if waiting, we finally got a sequel, but does it improve upon the previous game or just deliver more of the same? In a near-future London, the government cracks down on anti-ctOS group, DedSec, after the group is blamed for a terrorist action on multiple government buildings. Months later, DedSec dust themselves off and plan on finding out who framed them while also taking down the man. To do so, you must recruit anyone who could help the cause and save London. Can you save your city? Okay, to put it bluntly, it's a better game than the first game, but it fails in comparison to the previous game. The London setting is fairly unique sandbox for the open world, though not the first to do it, it's so little underutilized as a playground, it feels fresh. Graphically, I feel the game held back a bit because of the cross-generation the game is promoting, but looks better than what happened to the first game. Gameplay is largely the same, but with the recruitment angle being the new toy, here. It works really well, but gets repetitive from having too many similar missions to recruit potential members. The lack of a true central playable character hurts the relatability of the lead, and makes it less immersive. The plot is also more of the same, in the same vein of the previous Watch Dogs games. Driving is also the same and the activities also very similar. Sadly, the unique online modes are missing at the time of the review, making this less than the previous two games, sadly. Hopefully the online returns soon and .makes this a killer game to return to. Overall, this is a fun game, but not a full priced experience, just one to wait when it hits $40 or less.

Don't pass up this unique concept of a game.
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendDisclaimer: I am still playing this game and have not completed campaign. So far, I am really impressed with the mechanics and setting of WD: Legion. I was a fan of the first two games, especially WD 2. If you have played WD2, then you know a bit about the style of play. You will spend a lot of time exploring a variety of interiors by hacking security cameras and using spider-drones. You will also be solving a lot of environmental puzzles, including multi-tiered outdoor structures. This game is VERY vertical! There are so many upgrades to this new installment, but the biggest thing is being able to recruit and play as anybody in the game. Being set in London, everyone has a funny British accent. I mean, Ubisoft really leans in pretty hard on the goofy voice-acting. It is recommended that you play with perma-death enabled. Each character in your team then becomes a little less expendable, and it makes you think more strategically. If all of your best-laid chess plans go wrong, you still have many tools to fight your way out of trouble though. ;)

Seems like another GTA5 clone...with hacking.
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendIt's another cookie-cutter open world game just like the ones before it. Similar in mechanics to GTA5. If that's your type of game, then you won't be disappointed. This has the usual unique twist to the style that the series is known for as well. If you like hacking, jumping from camera to camera, spiderbots, drone hijacking, etc. If you enjoy that type of gameplay, then this may be your game. However, if you don't like games that follow the GTA layout of story missions and side mission grinding, then you may want to pass and wait for a deal/sale.

Dog Eat Dog
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI owned the other versions of this game so I knew what to expect. The variety of side missions is better than the past and the ability to choose different characters with various unique abilities based on your mission is a plus. It's based in the U.K. so you have to use to driving on the left side of the road and their dialect. Some missions can get repetitive at times but all and all it's a pretty good game

A solid third title
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThe gameplay is very unique with how you can play as almost any character you see in the game. London and the overall map visually is beautiful and feels full of life. The voice-overs are very overdone and the story is forgettable and hard to buy in to. But overall the game is solid if you enjoy the franchise. I would recommend if you enjoy the open-world style gameplay

Worth playing
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendIt was a pretty good game. The be anyone mechanic could have used some work as there was very little incentive to use more than 1 or 2 of the people. I ended up using people more for the better voice acting than for their perks. Basically everything in the game can be done with a spiderbot and every character gets them. Regardless it was a pretty solid game and definitely worth playing. Especially so if you are a watch dogs fan. Took about 25ish hours to beat with a pretty decent amount of exploring and taking my time.

Explore and Experience
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI'm really not sure why this game hasn't gotten better reviews because it is a really good game with a lot of content. Seriously they made Future London a neat place to explore. While missions can be similar you can approach them in completely different ways. So even if people thought it wasn't worth it at full price it is now you get dozens of hours of gameplay for like $30 which is an insane value!

Good Just Had Some Things Removed
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendBlackout hack, traffic light hack, hacking texts/calls of npc's and the texts/calls leading to random moments like a guy smashing someone's car, ambulance coming to help npc's, more interiors, npc's report crimes, calling the police on npc's, hiding in cars, hacking steam pipes, the phone menu with apps like Cars on Demand, Camera, Nudle Maps, and Media Player, lastly, fires going out right away.
