Not a bad game if you get it cheap. Set in a futuristic London, where you play as hackers fighting against a corrupt government. The coolest part? You can recruit and play as anyone in the city—each character has special skills! Big open world to explore. Fun hacking and stealth gameplay. Unique characters make it interesting.
Story feels weak. Some missions repeat too much.
AI can be frustrating sometimes.
Overall, it's a fun game for people who love hacking and exploring, but it has some flaws.

When I bought the game, I had hopes thinking it’ll be better than the other two games that came before it. But when I played it, it was just boring and it felt like free roam without any missions. Overall it was just a boring game

Game was unplayable on ps5 for days and a few times on PS4. Ubi support had no timeline on a fix and I wound up finding a workaround online (reset all display settings if you can’t get it to stop crashing). Game runs fine, few bugs other than that, but the game doesn’t feel very engaging. I liked the idea of recruiting operatives but not very far into the game I found myself using one or two almost exclusively and forcing myself to use the mechanic and switch to others. This didn’t change toward the end of the game. I’m a sucker for the series and for pretty but mindless open worlds, and this checks both boxes. If it’s on sale I’d say pick it up if you’re looking for something to pass the time. Otherwise I’d say it’s not quite worth the price if you’re not already interested. I’m looking forward to them fleshing out the idea more in any sequel that may come.

Watch Dogs had a ton of hype back in 2012, once it was released in 2014, it debuted to a ton of flack for it's watered down graphics compared to it's E3 video, but it still sold extremely well. The game was decent enough, some decent sandbox activities, some interesting gameplay mechanics with the hacking, but it lacked an interesting story or engaging lead character and some meh driving and shooting gameplay. The sequel came out 2 years later, improved on pretty much everything the previous game did wrong. After 4 years if waiting, we finally got a sequel, but does it improve upon the previous game or just deliver more of the same?
In a near-future London, the government cracks down on anti-ctOS group, DedSec, after the group is blamed for a terrorist action on multiple government buildings. Months later, DedSec dust themselves off and plan on finding out who framed them while also taking down the man. To do so, you must recruit anyone who could help the cause and save London. Can you save your city?
Okay, to put it bluntly, it's a better game than the first game, but it fails in comparison to the previous game. The London setting is fairly unique sandbox for the open world, though not the first to do it, it's so little underutilized as a playground, it feels fresh. Graphically, I feel the game held back a bit because of the cross-generation the game is promoting, but looks better than what happened to the first game. Gameplay is largely the same, but with the recruitment angle being the new toy, here.
It works really well, but gets repetitive from having too many similar missions to recruit potential members. The lack of a true central playable character hurts the relatability of the lead, and makes it less immersive. The plot is also more of the same, in the same vein of the previous Watch Dogs games. Driving is also the same and the activities also very similar.
Sadly, the unique online modes are missing at the time of the review, making this less than the previous two games, sadly. Hopefully the online returns soon and .makes this a killer game to return to.
Overall, this is a fun game, but not a full priced experience, just one to wait when it hits $40 or less.

Game is pretty good. It's a open world GTA style game. If you liked Watch Dogs 1 or Watch Dogs 2 you will probably like this. The game has some pretty cool tech gadgets and hacking features. I have over 50 hours in it right now and I'm enjoying the story and side quests. The only problem I have with it is it is repetitive at times but if you can find it on sale it's worth it, I paid $29.99 at black friday and glad I got it.

*Spoilers* I wasn't sure if I was going to buy this. But I'm overall glad I did. I like WD1 the best, but this is pretty good too. It's not quite like they advertise that you can play as anyone. There are limited people you can recruit. I only had 5 total for the whole game. The gameplay gets repetitive as most missions you have to hack into somewhere, download something, and then get out. I thought this was much easier than WD2. You can go in guns blazing most missions if you want. The construction worker is by far the best character to get as you have a drone to ride to get to the top of buildings or get over fences. I completed 98% of the game as a construction worker. A barrister would have been good as I got arrested a few times, and a doctor might help if you could find one. You also get kidnapped a couple times- so you can lose the character you're playing for a while. The story isn't great- it's ok. Oh and driving is terrible most of the time. The cars feel like tanks unless you get a sports car, and more real motorcycles would have been great. Overall, it was a good experience and I will play it again. Worth buying if this is your genre.

If you love watchdogs games it's an easy purchase and added multiplayer will be coming in the future. If you're new to these games and wondering if it's worth it, I would say yes. You can find it already at a more reasonable price despite it being a recent release and offers a unique experience. If the trailers interest you, go for it.

Gameplay is fun. (Can get repetitive) The “hacking” is very much like Watch_Dogs 2. The story is sub-par; it doesn’t have quite the interesting plot that the first game had. I don’t care for and of the characters.

The game so far is really fun for me. However, don't get this game for the original PS4 because it runs terribly. I would only suggest this game for people who liked watch dogs 2 and own a ps4 pro/PS5.

Since purchase date of 11/25/2020, the game has a couple of bugs that make it difficult for me to enjoy the game. NPCs will get stuck between ledges, or shoot at each other through walls. Some characters will get stuck between walls or street poles. Regenerating environment items, like vehicles and pick-up items, will either appear polygonal or incorrectly rendered. A vehicle for a side mission rendered floating at an angle in a garage and was impossible to drive out to accomplish the mission. I had to reload the game from my last checkpoint to correct the glitch.

It's another cookie-cutter open world game just like the ones before it. Similar in mechanics to GTA5. If that's your type of game, then you won't be disappointed. This has the usual unique twist to the style that the series is known for as well.
If you like hacking, jumping from camera to camera, spiderbots, drone hijacking, etc. If you enjoy that type of gameplay, then this may be your game. However, if you don't like games that follow the GTA layout of story missions and side mission grinding, then you may want to pass and wait for a deal/sale.
