      I needed a smaller refrigerator to fit properly, most models these days are too tall and/or wide for the 'cove' in my kitchen. this model fit perfectly, height and width. the fridge is not 'small', just smaller dimensions than most current designs. I love the crushed ice maker...super crushed!! and like that it has a built in filter for the water and ice. only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 just because the freezer is a little more compact than I would like and the top shelf in the fridge barely accommodates a bottle of juice (tight fit!) but the doors are also designed for large or gallon size bottles. one more thing I think should be mentioned, when filtering the online search for size/dimension criteria, (it was purchased in store but shopped online first) this model did appear to meet the criteria as a 'counter depth' model, it was displayed when 'counter depth' criteria was chosen, but it is not counter depth-it's 30 inches, (that's deeper than counter depth), the dimensions described in the specs on the item's web page are correct. also a shout out to the Geek Squad... I purchased it in store (Chico, CA) the team member that helped me was great and the customer service was awesome, price matched, and let me know about price matching for approx. one month after purchasing which it did go on sale about 3 weeks later, so it was price matched again for another $85 off! the delivery team went above and beyond with delivery as well!! thanks Best Buy!

      As for the actual fridge, it's okay, but not great. The freezer is very narrow, even for a 33". My previous 33" had more space. This means the fridge is spacious, but the layout of the shelves isn't ideal so the only place to put tall items like milk and juice is on the door, and those shelves are maid of fairly cheap plastic. Another thing that can be annoying is the water/ice dispenser. It's very easy to bump the water sensor when trying to fill a glass with ice which makes for regular cleanup since the water then runs down the door and onto the floor. Now, the worst part. Right from the beginning I should have known something was wrong. The first items I put in the freezer were a pack of English muffins 2 packs of bacon. And the next day they weren't frozen yet. So I turned the freezer up to 5 (max) and they finally froze. Well, here we are a month later and everything in the freezer is thawed again. And the worst part is that neither Best Buy nor Whirpool can have a service tech come out for a week. So I'll be throwing all the food I just bought away because my month old fridge doesn't work. Also, I have to call out a day of work to wait for the tech (you get an 8hr window). Maybe they can rig the fridge to finally work properly, but would anyone really feel comfortable knowing their brand new fridge already needed repaired? I know sometimes items arrive and are broken or don't work properly, but based on all of the reasons above, I suggest looking elsewhere.

      We live in an old, small apartment by the beach, and we had limited options because the space for a frig in our kitchen had cabinets starting at 69 inches, so we needed something shorter than the norm. We also wanted a stainless steel look, an ice maker and an water filtration system. Finally, we also wanted a delivery service that "installed" the frig--many sellers leave them curb side, so always double check those google shopping options--and we need to keep the price low. We're renters, so we'll likely need to leave the frig when we leave, so we wanted to stay around $1000. We found three options that fit all this criteria, and the other two options were inferior to this Whirlpool unit. If you have no restrictions on space and price, you can certainly do better, but within our limits, this unit was perfect, hence the five-star review. That said, a few caveats. When you open the door, it will swing ALL the way back if you don't control it. The interior is also a bit smaller than you might expect, but it's worth the trade off. And the holder for six soda/beer cans is a nice touch. Lastly, we've only had the unit for a short time, so we don't know about its durability. So far so good, and hopefully it keeps working fine for years to come. Hope all this info helps.

      When my side-by-side refrigerator was delivered, it measured a 1/2 inch wider than advertised. In order to get the refrigerator through the door leading into the kitchen, the refrigerator side of the door had to be removed. Once inside the kitchen, the delivery team replaced the door, and after that the doors were not aligned. They couldn't align the doors, because there are no leveling feet on this Whirlpool model. We requested an exchange. So when the second refrigerator was brought out the delivery men came in and checked the current refrigerator and said I will have the same problem with the replacement. I said I've never heard of an appliance not having a leveling adjustment as most every major appliance I've owned has this feature. He said he hadn't either. Unfortunately, it's the only model refrigerator that will fit in my limited kitchen space. So, My husband found a piece of lumber suitable to be used as a shim to place underneath one side of the refrigerator, which seems to have somewhat resolved the problem for the time being. The delivery guys were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. So we decided we would keep the original rather than having to go through this all over again. You would think Whirlpool would have tried to include in the design an adjustment feature. I guess I would recommend this to someone who did not have the luxury of a larger space for a bigger unit.

      We've had this refrigerator for a few months now and I'm on the verge of regretting buying it. Our space is limited so the size of this unit is perfect, however, it isn't configured to use its relatively limited space in anything close to an efficient way. The shelves are where they are; you can only remove them (no optional height adjustments). The door bins are adjustable, but they're deep and you all but have to use one them for gallon containers (while sacrificing room above so can get jugs out). The top shelf is the only place which allows taller items, but the light fixture and the 'cooling port' take up significant amounts of that limited space (no to mention the fact that anything left directly in line with the 'port' will be frozen by the cold air). The water dispenser in the door discharges warm (tap temp) water, which isn't a huge deal but why not cold? And finally, the noise from the compressor is obnoxious! Seriously, we replaced a refrigerator that was made in the 80s and this new unit is 3 times louder! It 'growls'/hums and runs so frequently that it's starting to get on my nerves. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, but I really wish we could have done a try-it-before-you-buy-it. I guess we learned a lesson from this one.

      Too small, already having issues

      This fridge is very small. The freezer is worse. If you have a family with kids, do NOT buy this fridge. The top shelf (where you would put milk, etc) is not big enough to put anything larger than a carton of milk-juices are too big so you have to lay it down on the shelf. I have only had it for 4 months and now I have a poor seal on the freezer door that lets in moisture into the freezer. I try calling the geek squad and am told by the automated system that I can’t make an appointment to go online to schedule one. I go online and try and schedule the appointment there and it tells me that it can’t make the appointment online at this time, to call the number. Really Best Buy??? So now I guess I’m going to have to return to the store just to make an appointment to have someone look at it-wasting my time for something that could have been taken care of over the phone or e-Mail. I’m really tempted to just return it all together. If I can, I probably will.

      Good Fridge, until it stopped working.

      We liked the fridge when we first got it. We had a hard time finding one that would fit our small home, and this one was the biggest one that would fit without taking some cabinets out. Installation was easy. I would say some of the plastic shelves in the door feel a little cheap, and I worry that they might break at some point. (We have kids who are a little rough on things). I would rate this 5* except after 1.5 months it is currently not working. The freezer isn't freezing, it's currently at around 50F, while the fridge side is also around 50F. It is a little disappointing, but it's still under warranty. However, when I call to Whirlpool to get it fixed they say they can't get a person out for 9 days. So form my perspective, I would probably never buy a whirlpool fridge again. I could understand a faulty product, that happens, but to be without a fridge for over a week is what I consider poor customer service.

      Within 1/2 hour of delivery, water stopped working, but ice maker works. Whirlpool said we had to have Best Buy trouble shoot it, but BB doesn't do that. 1 1/2 weeks later, I am STILL waiting for whirlpool to contact me in regards to this issue - 1) tried to register the fridge online, but it said invalid model. 2) tried to ask for assistance troubleshooting, would not assist. 3) No return contact as I have requested. 4) Fridge runs loud. 5) Seems more spacious that the top freezer fridge we had. I always thought Whirlpool had a better name and reputation, but I am thinking I am totally wrong - they won't even stand behind their products.
