My wife didn’t want a huge sub woofer in our living room so I went with this one, since they are built in. The sound quality is good. I have a large, open living area and the sound bar performs well. The bass is good enough for my needs but audiophiles will want to look elsewhere. I had no issue connecting to my network through the app. The sound profiles work well, especially clear voice. I connected through ARC and it has worked well for the most part. I did lose connection once and had to reboot but this may have been an issue with my Vizio TV. The Yamaha app is not intuitive and needs some work. We have it sitting on our tv console and it looks great.

The first sound bar I ever had was a Yamaha. Several years later I upgraded my TV and decided to get a new sound bar. I tried a Samsung, returned it. Then got a Vizio, kept it a couple years then it started getting glitchy. Wasn't bad but not great sound. So I decided to go back to the yamaha. I love it. The built-in subs don't thump, didn't expect that any way, but it does give the bar a nice rich full sound. And the clear voice is way better than the other two bars. After a couple of weeks I added an 8" 100W sub to it. And that gave me the extra punch I wanted. Not only tv and movies, but music sounds great too. With alexa built-in I was able to get rid of the echo I had in the living room. The app is is pretty basic and doesn't really do much. But it works. I would definitely recommend it. Plus it won't break the bank!

Awesome!!!! I love this soundbar; it sounds amazing! It was easy to set up. I added a Polk subwoofer to it and I’m in Heaven! I’m so glad my brother-in-law recommended for me to purchase this soundbar. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments.
