A: Hello, This hood does not have filters. Zephyr Typhoon, Hurricane and Cyclone hoods are filter-less with a self cleaning feature. The centrifugal blower system automatically liquefies cooking residue in its internal housing. All hoods are equipped with dishwasher safe residue cups to collect cooking residue during the self cleaning function. Cooking residues are often automatically liquefied and can accumulate in the residue cups from everyday use. Nevertheless, grease from cooking could also dry and adhere to the internal housing. flawed-- blows out front 1/4 of both fans
We waited about 9 months for this to get back into stock, and it looks great and is quiet, but there is a strong outward/downward wind that blows out the front of the range hood into your face so it sends cooking odors back into the room. It is coming from the front outside quarter of both fans. We had them come out again but the 2nd guy said install is fine, so we can choose a different one if we don't like the way this one works-- he had no comment on the outward draft other than that the installation was fine. This seems like a poor response, and it is odd it is getting great reviews from others. Given how long we waited for this one, it is a pain to now have to research other types/brands, or to have to wait to have another of the same installed, and risk that it works the same way. If this one was defective seems like that tech should have confirmed it vs just saying install was ok. Can't recommend this range hood.
