A: My experience was on a Xbox one, was sent in for repair, then determined a replacement was the answer. With a less than 2 week turn around. I guess not bad for a $50 plan on a $186 repair into a replacement. But once the 2yr warranty expires that’s it, you can’t renew the warranty.
A: If you bought a controller separately from the console meaning not bundled with the system and have a geek squad protection plan on that accessory then you can simply grab one off the shelf and exchange it. If you're trying to return a controller that was bundled with the system then according to their policy, they have to order one and a new one will be shipped to you. Can't do a simple swap or exchange even if they have a controller available on the show floor. That was my experience this past weekend and I'm currently waiting on my controller to be shipped. Wish this bit of info was outlined in advance when purchasing a protection plan.
