Hello fellow gamers! I recently strapped on the PS VR2 and ventured into the digital abyss, and I've got the scoop for you. From dodging virtual bullets to exploring fantastical landscapes, it's a wild ride. Comfort Level: Pillow for Your Face (4/5): Wearing the headset feels like strapping a comfy pillow to your face – seriously, kudos to the cushion game! However, after an extended session, it can get a bit warm in there. Maybe a built-in AC for the next model, Sony? Graphics that Pop (5/5): Graphics are so sharp, it's like upgrading from a pixelated world to an HD wonderland. The vibrant colors and details make the virtual universe feel real – major thumbs up to the visual wizards behind the scenes. Tangled Cord Tango (3/5): Now, let's talk about the cord situation. While I may be the intended audience for this product, its ability to address my specific concerns truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Sony, for enhancing our family time! Final Verdict: VR Odyssey of Fun (4/5): The PS VR2 is a legit portal to gaming awesomeness. The immersion is unparalleled, and the graphics are jaw-dropping. If we could tweak the cord situation and maybe throw in a personal AC, it'd be a perfect 5-star symphony. In a nutshell, strap on your virtual seatbelts, folks! Sony stepped their game up with the second generation of the PlayStation VR. Power and data are now combined into a single USB-C connection. Improved motion sensors on the head unit make the head tracking more accurate. The design of the motion controllers is better too. The screens inside are pretty sharp but won’t leave you in awe. The weight isn’t too bad and it’s pretty comfortable. There’s a noticeable sweet spot in the optics that means you have to get the headset just right to have a clear view. Looking to the edges of the optics leaves much to be desired as you’ll notice how blurry anything outside the sweet spot can get. I wish Sony could have made this version wireless to increase the mobility when wearing it but I understand why they couldn’t. The price of the unit is probably the most off putting thing about it. At nearly 600$ it’s more expensive than the PS5 itself which is easily more important to your gaming than the PSVR2. The PSVR2 is impressive and would be an amazing buy at 400$ which would bring it in under the standalone Meta Quest 3 with 128GB storage and the freedom to play more places. Sony is looking to recover some R&D for sure. The easy to find pass-through button lets you quickly see what’s happening around you if you need to and the telescoping front lets you set a comfortable viewing distance. 4 stars only because I think Sony could have targeted a slightly lower price and allowed more people to get into PSVR2 sooner.

The PS VR2 is a big step up from the first version. The visuals are super clear, the headset is more comfortable, and the new Sense controllers feel great and track really well. Games like Horizon Call of the Mountain look amazing and feel really immersive. It’s easy to set up with the PS5, just plug in one cable. The only downside is the price—it’s kind of expensive—but if you love VR and already have a PS5, it’s worth it.
