    Does This Rival OLED???

First of all, I am no expert when it comes to nits, dimming zones, or quirks on monitors, but I think it helps my case as a normal consumer to a naked eye test. Cons IMO: The first thing I noticed after opening the box was that it only came with an HMDI Cable instead of a Display Cable. (this may not be an issue for some but for me it is). With HDR turned on the color is extremely bright and the colors seem off to me, so I run everything on custom settings. (This was only for my gaming sessions and not viewing content or movies so some people may love this setting and feature it has to offer). Out of the box you will need to go into your display setting to get the maximum frame rate, (It was set to 120hz, not necessarily a con just a minor inconvenience). It gets so bright it actually hurts my eyes if I don't adjust the setting. (some people may love this feature but I mainly game on my monitor so I can see how a movie lover would enjoy this which is why it is a part of my pro as well). Well, that was it for my cons. Pros IMO: I got this monitor on sale for $249 before tax. Which after buying and using feels like a steal considering I'm coming from an LG 185hz IPS Monitor (that I got for the same price when I got it), I noticed right away how inky black looking the Monitor is and how bright it can get. Out of the box the standard mode looks very natural. I like that there are many tuning options for brightness, gaming refresh rates, everyday use, movie viewing, and color options to adjust for your best personal options/opinion of how you like to view your content. Something odd is that in the specification it shows there is only 1 Display port but there are 2 Display 1.4 Ports and 2 HDMI 2.1 Ports with a headphone jack. The refresh rate is hard to not talk about. I came from a 185hz monitor and I didn't think I would be able to tell the difference in refresh rate from 185 to 320, but I definitely can. I'm no expert so I can't speak on the specifics but once you see it you will know. I clearly don't have an OLED so I could never say this is better, yet I do know this is a very cheap option to have considering the price point, refresh rate, and viewing options this monitor has. The blacks feel really black despite it not being an OLED. I'm sure some expert could do a better job explaining it all however, I 100% recommend this monitor.

Great alternative to similarly priced OLED

I compared this monitor side-by-side with a similarly priced OLED monitor (MSI MAG 272 X24) and ended up choosing this one. After configuring the settings, the difference in contrast was not enough to overcome the downsides of a lower end OLED. Pros: Incredibly bright, which means highlights are impactful even in SDR mode. This is the biggest benefit of this monitor and what made it look better than a dimmer OLED panel. Gaming is just more fun when bright lights look like an actual light source, and even when browsing the internet white background actually look bright white. Excellent color accuracy and text clarity, which are both inherent to IPS panels. When local dimming is set to its highest setting there is no blooming around highlights (but small highlights set against a black background do become dimmer, and the matte coating takes away some of the impact under these circumstances). However, at any other setting local dimming results in tons of blooming, though this is not something you notice during normal gaming outside of something like a loading screen where there is text or objects set directly against a black background. While OLED still held a big advantage in micro contrast and clarity, blacks on this monitor looked surprisingly close with local dimming at its highest setting and highlights popped much more due to the higher brightness. Cons: While HDR looks glorious, the HDR implementation is terrible, and since there’s no USB port, there’s no firmware updates that can fix it. You have to manually set HDR via the OSD every time you want to use it. “HDR Auto” is the same as “HDR On” - it doesn’t detect an HDR signal and switch. Also, HDR does not allow brightness to change, it’s just always at max brightness, which can be annoying in a darker setting. Given the brightness, text clarity, matte coating, and no risk of burn-in, this is an excellent all-around monitor for a brightly lit setting or for someone who also needs to use it for work or other static content.

    Really good value

This does an excellent job sitting right in the middle of monitor options. It's got a lot of great and modern features while not costing $500 or more. One thing to know though is that VRR is enabled by default and VRR disables several monitor settings in the OSD such as overdrive. So if you want to be able to play with more settings to tune them to what you want just know you may have to disable VRR to do so. 320hz IPS at the on sale price point is hard to beat. The monitor is quality. I have no issues with bleed or uniformity. Only thing I would change is have them swap the HDMI cable for Displayport, as I had to purchase my own Displayport cable so that I could get the full 320hz performance. It's weird for them to include such a limited connectivity option.

    Great value

I bought this for 270. Mini led and 320 htz is crazy value for that price. HDR and local dimming really makes this compete against oled. Especially for the price.only thing that sucks is it came with hdmi instead of display cable. So you will definitely need to get your hands on a display port cable

    great for the price!

Can't complain at all. obv there are "higher" tier monitors out there but FOR THE PRICE and what it does do, it absolutely does deliver without breaking your wallet and still giving you a decent gaming experience. it's def not a "cheap" monitor or just idk a "bad" monitor. 100% great for it's price but obv if you can AFFORD something better, I wouldn't try to say this is the best monitor out there is all i'm saying lol. 100% great for it's price, as well as it's size. I mean I wasn't personally looking for something "AAA" either, so at least for me, it works. you can also multi monitor these in the future (I may buy two more to have 3 total) if you choose to do so, so, that's also a great option. 5/5 and i'd say if you're on a budget (with plans to upgrade in the future etc.) def pick this one up!
