Q: Can I use regular seeds that are available in the market?
A: You can plant regular seeds, but you need the pod to put the seeds in. The pods have a growing medium in them and are designed to fit into the aerogarden. They sell pods that don’t have seeds in them for that purpose
Q: How often do I need to add water? I travel almost monthly for 3 to 5 days.
A: If you travel allot get the one that saves you from watering. When they grow bigger they need to be watered more frequently. You could possibly rig a water timer, but that’s to much work.
Q: Can you put any seeds in here, or does it have to be the pods only?
A: Yes but you need to buy the Grow Anything kit.
Q: What are the exact "herbs" that are included in this product?
A: Dill, thyme, basil two types I think.
Q: Is the energy source battery, electric, or solar?
A: It uses your household current.
Q: Does this unit aerate the water with some sort of pump or is the water stagnate?
A: A pump runs periodically to circulate the water to the top of the pods. It doesn’t circulate to aerate or otherwise keep the water fresh although I think there is a filter . There is a two week reminder to change the water and add liquid fertilizer.
Q: Is the light height adjustable? If yes, to what height?
A: The light is adjustable. It adjust from 4 1/2”-11 1/2” above the platform that holds the seed pods
Q: how many watts does it use Thanks
A: 20. But it’s not on all day depending on what you’re growing. The herbs need light for 16 hours a day
