Aesthetic Perfection - Closer to Human - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

After 20 years, Daniel Graves returns to the album that started it all. Closer to Human isn't just a reissue -it's a resurrection. Armed with the very synths and samples used in the original 2005 recording, Graves has meticulously rebuilt every track from the ground up. The result? A reimagining that remains true to it's roots while achieving a level of depth and clarity never before possible. Aesthetic Perfection has never sounded better. In an exclusive partnership with Dependent Records, Closer to Human will be available in limited quantities as a 1-disc digisleeve, 2-disc digipak, and colored vinyl. What makes you human? In 2007, Daniel Graves released the album Blood Spills Not Far from the Wound under the moniker InchNecessary ResponseInch. It was a collection of songs originally intended for on Close to Human, the debut InchAesthetic PerfectionInch album, but their less aggressive nature lead to their removal. At the time, his European tag felt that Aesthetic Perfection should be a strictly InchaggrotechInch act and not confuse the scene with such a varied and dynamic record. Young and impressionable, Graves relented and allowed the tag to split the band in two leading to the creation of InchNecessary ResponseInch. After one record, Daniel declared the project dead and focused entirely on Aesthetic Perfection. Blood Spills Not Far from the Wound is back from the dead! Revived with newly recorded vocals, and new artwork. Remixed, re-mastered, and lead by the unreleased B-Side InchNever EnoughInch. Also features a piano rework of InchDevotionInch with Lauren Krothe (as heard on Imperfect and the title track from All Beauty Destroyed). This is not your typical album re- , it is a complete re-envisioning of the record that never was. Graves has finally brought this album back into the Aesthetic Perfection fold, bringing the band one step closer to what he's always wanted it to be. Album Tracks 1. Open Wound 2. Spilling Blood 3. Forever 4. Vapor 5. Tomorrow 6. Never Enough 7. For All the Lost 8. Dying in the Worst Way 9. Elements 10. Devotion

2016 , the third album from the New York band. Human Performance establishes Parquet Courts as simply one of the best rock bands active in the world right now, no qualifiers needed. Not Inchin Brooklyn,Inch not Inchsomething-something millennial,Inch not Inchart-rock thisInch or Inchslacker indie thatInch - but a brilliant, accomplished rock band that have established themselves as deserving a role in the historical legacy of the genre alongside the likes of The Velvet Underground, REM, Sonic Youth, and Pavement. This album - their masterpiece - brings together the tunefulness, wit, and guitar wizardry that earned them a crush of critical praise and excitable fans right out of the gate, with a deeply human sense of drive, of yearning, and of wisdom earned. At times nearly overwhelming in it's emotional density, at others astonishing with sheer sonic deftness, Human Performance is a rare achievement breathtaking and brilliant. Album Tracks 1. Dust 2.
