Upgrade your car audio setup with this pair of Alpine two-way speakers. The specialized rubber surround reduces distortion for a cleaner overall sound, and the 0.75-inch silk dome tweeter handles high frequencies flawlessly by bringing out details in instruments and vocals. These 6.5-inch Alpine two-way speakers handle up to 80W RMS for powerful sound with or without an amp.

Q: Do I need to get a separate crossover for these or can they be installed as is?
A: Crossovers for both tweeters are included.
Q: What is the wattage for these speakers ? Will it require an amplifier for my F150 ?
A: No you won’t need a added amplifier for these speakers. They are actually more efficient then the oem speakers and will power easily.
A: You will need a separate amplifier if you want it loud and clear. Your head unit is fine but does not have the power and headroom that a separate amplifier will have. Rms stand for root mean square this is the recommended constant power that you supply to your speakers. Your head unit has a rated power but it is Exaggerated!
A: 1) Front Speakers These are likely component speakers, meaning the tweeters and woofers are separate, with the tweeters either in the upper part of the door or in the dash. Make sure to confirm and buy the correct speakers. 2) Back Speakers These are coaxial speakers (the tweeter and woofer all in one), so just swap them out. 3) Do you need an amp for these speakers? No, you can just hook them up to the existing wires that run to the stock stereo system. You should experience a material improvement in quality sound. The stock stereo of the 2009 Sonata has an output of 80 watts, so likely up to 20 watts per speaker. The speakers will be greatly u def powered from their potential, but will still sound good. You'll likely do well to get even a small amp like a Kicker 202.4 that may fit behind your stereo and even run off the 12v cable that runs to the stereo. Your other option is to upgrade your stereo too. If I were you I'd just swap the speakers myself and see how they sound. Then, if you want even more power, I'd buy and I stall the small Kicker 202.4 amp, only making it power just the front speakers (tweeter 1, tweeter 2, woofer 1, and woofer 2.) You'd get up to 50 watts per speaker (for each front tweeter and each front woofer.) I just installed these speakers, upgrading the stereo with a 10" touch screen Jensen, the Alpine S speakers, and the Kicker 202.4 amp. The enhanced sound quality and increased loudness is awesome! Start small with just the speakers and see if that's enough. Good luck!
A: hi Shawn, I install car audio for the Joplin, MO store. if you still need an answer to this question to make sure we are completely correct I will need some more info, exact year of your civic and whether its the coupe hatchback or sedan. for a general answer the civic shows a usable mounting depth of 1.8" whereas these speakers require a mounting depth of 3" this is where the reports of contact with the windows comes from. You will need a spacer to give you at least another 1.2" of clearance. Sometimes a universal spacer will work if not one will need to be fabricated. there should be enough room behind the door panel to bring the mounting surface out 1.2" but not guaranteed. Hope this helps!

Q: how many speakers come per order ?
