Q: How many pictures does this one holds
A: It depends on the size of the photos. We recommend scaling photos down to no larger than 1600x1200 or even 1024x768 for this 8 inch frame. If you do that then you can likely get 1 thousand or so. Be sure to leave some memory for the operating system. These are similar to computer memory. If you fill it up then the frame will slow down and eventually not work because there will be no RAM.
Q: Does this frame use the Frameo app? If not what does it work with
A: No. This is the AWS08F. It used the Aluratek FrameTime app. We have 4 different apps so make sure you download the FrameTime app.
A: The order is generated randomly so it can't be adjusted. If you increase the number of pictures, it will less likely to repeat the same picture in the slideshow.
Q: Can you connect the frame via the USB to a computer or smart TV to show the pictures larger?
A: No. You can connect to a computer to send other photos to the frame, or you can use USB or SD cards, 32GB or smaller, to show photos on the frame, but the unit does not have the video capability to export the video/photos to a computer screen or TV. That would generally require an HDMI connection.
Q: Does Aluratek Frametime have a timer setting? I don’t need it on all night long.
A: Go into settings > system settings and use the auto on / off feature to set your times.
Q: What type of WiFi network does this work with?
A: All frame use a 2.4g network. We have one frame that is dual band and can use 2.4g and 5g and that is the AWS13F.
