It's the cheapest TB4 cable Best Buy sells at this length. CRAZY EXPENSIVE though, Apple needs to chill. Only bought because I had a lot of Best Buy points to set up a high speed connection between my desktop and laptop. Writing this for more Best Buy points lol.

Connecting an Apple device with the cable will be awesome. No matter the Apple device you connect, this will deliver top performance. The build quality is superior compared to other manufacturers, and I guess Apple is the only one who provides braided cable and to this length with full Thunderbolt speed at 40Gbps. Other manufacturer doesn't have the cable this long with active thunderbolt connection rather would do a passive. The downside of this cable is that, it comes with various limitations with Non Apple devices. If you connect to a display from other manufacturer, this would not connect without issue, You'll find several of those issues, device not recognized, won't recognize other devices connected to the display, won't charge the laptop from the display connected, etc. Would not recommend to connect to windows machine or non apple display. I had to return the cable because of some of the mentioned incompatibility issues. Despite all that, it's great cable to connect thunderbolt devices and peripherals.

It’s a nice cable, more importantly it’s a longer cable that meets the Thunderbolt standards for video and power delivery, an absurd, but necessary expense if you have a monitor with UsbC/Thunderbolt power delivery and video input and a laptop that can charge from it, makes for a two cable desk, monitor power and this guy from the monitor to your MacBook
