Arturia MicroFreak is a hybrid digital-and-analog synthesizer designed for versatile music production and performance. It features 21 digital oscillator modes, a 12dB/octave analog state-variable filter, and includes oscillator modes inspired by Mutable Instruments and Noise Engineering, as well as a vocoder mode. The 25-key capacitive keyboard offers polyphonic aftertouch with monophonic, paraphonic, or unison modes for expressive control. A 64-step sequencer, arpeggiator with multiple modes, and Spice & Dice randomization enable evolving melodic and rhythmic patterns, while a modulation matrix, chord mode, and scale quantization provide flexible harmonic and performance options. Connectivity includes USB, MIDI In/Out, CV/Gate, and pressure outputs, allowing integration with DAWs, modular synths, and other hardware. MicroFreak also provides two patterns per preset and four automation tracks, making it suitable for studio, live, or portable setups.
