ASUS - ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED 500Hz 0.03ms Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC/FreeSync and HDR (HDMI, DisplayPort) - Black

Such a fantastic monitor super high refresh rate beautiful, bright vibrant OLED display. In fact I’ve owned quite a few displays that were OLED and the true black 500 is the first of its kind that I’ve ever owned in my gosh does it make a difference in peak brightness!! paired with my RTX 5080 I see high refresh with rate max path tracing so don’t think this is only for competitive gaming however, when it comes to competitive gaming, it’s a whole other beast ridiculously high refresh rates, butter smooth. It’s the best of both worlds 10 out of 10. Recommend if you want talk to your performance and quality.

The true black 500 was amazing and the color is something to behold, I play competitive games and the 500 hz is the main reason I bought this monster but I also use it for single player games and it performs better than I ever expected. The only downside to it is it only has Display port 1.4 and not 2. And has to use dsc to achieve 500 hz 1440p. Other than that this is the best monitor one can buy.

I had heard that OLED monitors elevate your gaming experience, but I was not expecting it to skyrocket. The vivid colors, deep black/dark tones, and beautiful contrast make for the best build upgrade I have ever made. I have two that work splendidly in tandem with my 3080 Ti and I have been bingeing Cyberpunk 2077 (again) running a couple dozen mods, including upgraded graphics, weather, water reflection rendering, and blur motion all at the 2K level. I cannot recommend this monitor enough, even with the high price point.

Great monitor! The monitor also comes with 100mm VESA mount adapter for those who want to put it on a monitor arm. Compared to the second monitor (matte lcd) the glossy oled screen, the blacks are insane! Colors are also very vibrant. But having a glossy oled monitor also comes with a cost. It is a fingerprint magnet and it being oled makes it easily scratchable (terrible combo when you adjust the monitor). You'll only notice if a bright light shines at it. But normal use, you'll never notice it. Would only recommend to those competitive players where every millisecond count and those who have a beefy gpu that can run games at that many frames. If not, I'd say a 240hz is plenty good enough.

Bout this monitor at the end of September 2025 to replace my 34" UW OLED as I needed something a bit faster and smaller for more competitive shooters, and it has been STUNNING. The picture is gorgeous and with a 0.03 ms response time and hitting 500hz, gameplay has never been smoother.
