A: as long as its a 8th gen processor. It will say in the description, newer made I7 7700,7700k,8700,8700k,8086k are 8th gen. if it doesnt say 8th gen then look for 300 series chipset and 1151 socket
A: All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. ASUS provides warranty coverage in order to fix or repair any product that may stop working prematurely under normal usage.
A: Yes you'd need to buy or borrow an 8th gen processor to flash a new bios. Alternatively you could take it to a PC shop and ask them to update the bios for you.
