Amazing!! Upgraded from a NON mesh system and this is a game changer. I have a 2234 square feet and total the system says I have 36 devices connected between security cameras, phones, door locks, tablets, 4k smart tvs, laptops and mac mini. Everything is running smooth with our Spectrum 1GB connection. Super easy setup too.

I think it’s defective. It worked about 10 minutes. I reset them and wired them together and it still kept dropping the connection after about 10 minutes. 1 single router is pretty good and has good range but the mesh never worked. I am returning and getting the AX5700. My house is 2300sqft. While troubleshooting I put this in the attic and one single node would connect about 200 feet away at my mailbox. Connection was slower like 40 mbps but still in functional. With it down stairs I consistently got 500 to 700 out of one node since the others never worked. A one pack is worth it. 3 pack is not. Also each node is a router, not nodes like most systems. So you can buy this and keep one at home and one at work and one somewhere else.

Also, please check if the units are running with the most current firmware. We purchased this after owning it's previous version for many years. We replaced that due to intermittent connectivity that we mistakenly thought was the fault of the mesh system. Turned out to be an intermittent fiber line coming into the house. So we replaced with this network and it has been performing even better than the previous version. WiFi speeds are faster and coverage of our 2400sq/ft house has always been good. The handoff between nodes happens uneventfully and we never notice a change in wifi when moving around the house. The Asus management software for the router is good and does not require a sign in to an Asus acct which is nice. The new version being wall mountable is nice as well, we mounted ours high up on the exterior of our networking cabinet. Highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a good mesh network to extend network capabilities.

Great wifi mesh system. Already had an ASUS wifi router so these fit in seamlessly with that router. The app is great and these are super easy to setup. Like the clean look and the ability to turn on and off the lights on the units. Highly recommend.

I purchased this set after having another mesh system purchased on Amazon from a different manufacture. This system has the throughput and range that I needed. It has a great App and interface and was very simple to setup.

one of the three i got didn't sync out of the box & i couldn't get it to work so had to take it back....otherwise I liked the size & style. wish they would have worked for me. can't say i would or wouldn't recommend because i did not really work with them.

I paired this with a new modem (Arris S33) and placed the router + 2 nodes in my 2400 sq ft, 2 story house. This replaced an older Arris modem/router combo that did not support the 400 Mbps service that I now have. 1. Setup was straightforward. 2. Wi-Fi signal strength is very strong and solid - no drop outs 3. Having a PC-based web interface was a MUST for me. Haven't had good luck with mobile phone interfaces supporting a home network. I like having a 'console' experience and mouse/keyboard interface. No regrets. Very pleased with this purchase.

They do a good enough job joining as an AIMesh product but the performance is lackluster. If all you’re doing is browsing the web and trying to set up a mesh network it’s fine but gaming will probably need a better extender

The product is defective. I did the firmware upgrades and still not working. At first it had some strange issues setting up and after a few reboots it then worked but then it 24 hours later red light flashing and it quit, and when it reboots not all the nodes show up. Now it quit again a few hours after fixing it. I have a lot of experience with asus routers and the apps and also the browser interface. I also have the older XD4 system and that system does not have the same problems. I thought to upgrade but XD5 has had many issues and going off line. Frustrating product. Also when one sets up the wifi passwords it looked like it already had other people's passwords stored in it makes me feel I might have gotten a refurbished unit. I do not know if it generates a password automatically but the catchy names were not like random. I'm dissapointed.

Works good when you use a ethernet cable between them. However the LAN port can be hit or miss with these. The base router LAN port is not wanting to send out more than 100 mbps and then one of the satellites is not wanting to detect a ethernet cable at all.
