We live on an island that can easily be cut off from the world by weather. We wanted a landline phone, and this model was affordable. It's a sleek design for a corded phone. Works well & could be a lifesaver someday.

Simple but effective, works as intended. A rarity in today’s modern phone world, yet a solution for certain people who still relay on foolproof communication.

I just needed a simple corded phone for reliability - cordless phones might not work in a power outage. This one fits the bill just fine, sound quality is fine and it has the display for Caller ID. It does require 4 AA batteries to power the LCD display so pick some up when you buy the phone. Build quality is good but not great, but satisfactory given the low price. I wish the base cradle were heavier and the cord a little longer, but overall a good purchase.

The display for the caller is nice, the sound is also fine but hand unit cord is too short. I had to replace with a cord I had on an old phone. We have cordless phones however we recently moved into a larger home and we could use some more hand units. The kitchen had a wall mounted jack that was ugly so I mainly to cover the plate and let someone in the kitchen not have to run into the next room for the phone this unit was a good solution.

I was looking for a phone to use in my kitchen. This is great and I can put this phone on my table or counter top. This phone is easy to hold in one hand and stir a pot of food. It is light weight and there is no static and the other voice is clear. The low price for this phone is great also. I recommend this phone to everyone. There is a cord and you can not carry the phone out of the room, but this is great to use with a phone jack and it will work. You do not need batteries unless you want to use the called ID feature. This is light weight and works great.

This is a nice small phone for on my computer desk. I love having caller ID so I can see if it is a friend or foe. The only thing I didn't like is that it doesn't light up to see the numbers and and the date and time. I am usually hard of hearing but this phone is great on the volume and sounds great. I can definitely hear on this phone.

We still have a house line which we rarely use. When the battery on our cordless phone needed to be replaced, we found it to be very expensive. This phone requires no expensive battery and still gave us all the features we needed. The price and features were just right!

Old wall phone went dead after 15 years. Replaced it with the new trimline model. Looks great. I like the smaller size and still has all the functions including a caller ID display. Great phone for the small price.

I bought this phone as a troubleshooting tool for working on clients' office phone systems and fax machines. It's small and light, and goes back into its box to keep the cord tidy when not in use. Once I popped in a couple of AAA batteries (not included), last-number-redial worked smoothly (without batteries, it can't remember the last number - so this saves a LOT of time when testing one line after another.) I lost the instruction sheet the first time I took it out of the box, so it took a few minutes to work out how to program memorized numbers (my own cell phone for a sound test; 1-800-444-4444 to get the number I'm calling from). The steps for programming memory locations _could_ be a little more straightforward, but it wasn't too bad. In retrospect, I wish I'd bought a model with a speaker - but for the price I paid, this is excellent value.

Phone is compact and fits nicely on my desk. Easy to operate. Works well. Under $20 was well within my budget for a caller id compact phone. Cannot ask for anything more. Plus the process to order and pickup in store option at Best Buy was a breeze. Thank you Best Buy!

It is as plain vanilla as a phone can get. Caller ID and not much else. However, if you are looking for a fairly sturdy and inexpensive land-line phone that will continue to provide a viable means of communication during a power failure - This is your phone.

I needed to replace the cordless phone for my 96 year old mother that requires her to push the green “on” button to answer the phone as well as another button to increase the volume. With her arthritis, partial dementia and hearing aids, calling her usually resulted in her not being able to answer calls. The Trimline phone took care of all of the above. A volume setting that remained for each call and just lift the handset to answer with no button to push. Lightweight, functional and easy. Also included is a 3 button memory one push to call feature which for her made it simple to pick up the handset, push one of the buttons and have the phone dial one of the family members numbers stored. The buttons to push are also large enough for her use with her arthritic hands. This phone is a perfect solution for all of the above!!

Caller ID easy to see without picking up. Good sound quality. Very lightweight, but stays on the "frame" securely. Just really like this phone. Might look for a longer cord at some point, but I do have a cordless set nearby if I need to move around. Such an improvement from the one it replaced.

I only needed a basic phone for my kitchen, so I wasn't looking for anything fancy. I just needed a wall-mounted phone with caller id. I saw where some reviewers were frustrated because it didn't work as a wall-mounted phone. I read on a different site where you really have to read the manual, and so I did. The manual tells you how to make the necessary adjustments to the phone, which are very easy to do. Once you make those adjustments, which do not require any additional tools, your phone works fine as a wall-mounted device. The handset does not fall off. I also replaced the short corded line with a longer one which I had on my old phone, so this works well for me.
