    caller id is nice but hand unit cord to short

    The display for the caller is nice, the sound is also fine but hand unit cord is too short. I had to replace with a cord I had on an old phone. We have cordless phones however we recently moved into a larger home and we could use some more hand units. The kitchen had a wall mounted jack that was ugly so I mainly to cover the plate and let someone in the kitchen not have to run into the next room for the phone this unit was a good solution.

    Phone used with a phone jack.

    I was looking for a phone to use in my kitchen. This is great and I can put this phone on my table or counter top. This phone is easy to hold in one hand and stir a pot of food. It is light weight and there is no static and the other voice is clear. The low price for this phone is great also. I recommend this phone to everyone. There is a cord and you can not carry the phone out of the room, but this is great to use with a phone jack and it will work. You do not need batteries unless you want to use the called ID feature. This is light weight and works great.

    Nice small phone

    This is a nice small phone for on my computer desk. I love having caller ID so I can see if it is a friend or foe. The only thing I didn't like is that it doesn't light up to see the numbers and and the date and time. I am usually hard of hearing but this phone is great on the volume and sounds great. I can definitely hear on this phone.

  • Can you hang this on a wall?

    Looks like you can from the back. There's a hole to hang on a nail, and looks like you can pop out a piece to make the handset hold onto the front, but it didn't pop out easy to test. I didn't want to break it to see if it would work.

  • On a phone like this one, can I plug in a longer cord that goes from the phone to the wall plug , because I want to buy a 25" cord.

    Yes, you can plug a longer cord into the back of the phone. However, it does need to fit through the little opening under the base for the phone to sit flat. It comes with a 2 conductor cord.

  • Does this phone work with a provider other than at&t?

    Yes, it works with any provider. AT&T is just the make of the phone, not the provider.

  • Can I plug in headset somewhere?

    I do not see a place to plug in a headset. I have this phone as one of the phones since electricity goes off often where I am and needed a phone not dependent on electricity.

  • Does the in-use light work without the battery? Does it come on when another phone on the line is in use?

    The in-use light does not work without a battery. With battery, red light will flash when another phone on the line is in use.
