The MC6-HT is the angled version of the MC6. By designing the speaker with a fixed tweeter and woofer angle, we were able to tune the performance of the speaker far more accurately than universal pivoting designs. The MC6-HT is recommended for applications where the listener will spend most of their time not directly underneath the speaker. For example, when being used as the front or center speaker in a home theater, the listener is typically around 10 feet or farther away, yet typical in ceiling speakers are pointing straight down placing the sweet spot directly in front of the screen. By angling the drivers towards the listener, a very noticeable increase in performance is realized. All MartinLogan Motion CI Series speakers feature our signature Folded Motion Tweeter or FMT. This innovative piece of audio technology provides incredible detail, precise clarity, clean output and high efficiency in a small but mighty package. Pairing this tweeter with lightweight woven fiberglass woofers means that Motion CI delivers a clean and balanced sound that is perfectly suited for any application.
