Atomic Rooster - Little Live Rooster - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

When THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN disintegrated after their sole album and their worldwide hit InchFireInch (InchI am the god of hellfireInch) Vincent Crane (responsible for the music of that album) and Carl Palmer founded Atomic Rooster with Nick Graham on bass and vocals. This line-up soon disintegrated (Palmer abandoning them to join ELP), and Crane contacted guitarist John DuCann, formerly of psych bands THE ATTACK and ANDROMEDA, and drummer Paul Hammond to make a seminal early Heavy Metal masterpiece InchDeath Walks Behind YouInch, and then they hired the incredible voice, Pete French, to make their finest album InchIn Hearing Of...Inch. Most people would agree that this was the better line-up of ROOSTER, but the mood was always stormy between Crane and DuCann, so they disbanded at the of the third album. Vincent Crane had to start from scratch again and hired superb vocalist Chris Farlowe (ex-COLOSSEUM) and other men to make another fine album InchMade In EnglandInch and finally InchNice and GreasyInch. This CD captures the band in 1972 and shows them at their blistering best on stage in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience. This is the best official live recording to exist of this line up!

Atomic Rooster - Devil's Answer - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

CD reissue. Atomic Rooster was an English progressive rock band originally composed of former members of the The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Throughout their history keyboardist Vincent Crane was the only constant member and wrote the majority of their material. Their history is defined by two periods the early-mid-1970s and the early 1980s. Their genre in music is difficult to define since they went through radical changes in very short times during the life of the band. However, their best-known era represented a more hard rock/progressive rock sound. This CD is a collection of the band's radio broadcasts tracks 1-2 recorded in session for Mike Harding Show 26.5.70; track 3 recorded in session for John Peel 14.1.71; tracks 4-5 recorded in session for Mike Harding 22.3.71; tracks 6-7 recorded in session for Johnnie Walker 12.6.72; tracks 8-9 recorded in session for Johnnie Walker 7.12.72; tracks 10-12 recorded in session 16.10.81; and tracks 13-15 recorded in session for Live 27.7.72.

Atomic Rooster - Atomic Rooster - Remastered & Expanded Edition - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This remastered edition of Atomic Rooster has been expanded to a two disc set to include the Live at The Marquee 1980 album, but also features a further 11 bonus tracks drawn from studio-out takes, demos and a rare single B-side. The set also includes a booklet with a new essay. Originally founded in 1969 by former Crazy World of Arthur Brown organist Vincent Crane, Atomic Rooster recorded five albums between 1969 & 1973 and enjoyed two hit singles with the tracks 'Tomorrow Night' and 'Devil's Answer' in 1970 and 1971 respectively. The band line-up varied from album to album, but it was generally recognised that the InchclassicInch line-up of the band featured Vincent Crane joined by John Du Cann (guitar, vocals) and Paul Hammond (drums) that existed between 1970 - 1971. Atomic Rooster finally disbanded in 1975, but in 1980 Vincent Crane and John Du Cann reformed the band to record a new album. The sessions featured Preston Heyman on drums and the album Atomic Rooster was released in September 1980. The album featured a muscular rock style and was well received. To promote the album the band undertook a tour which featured drummer Paul Hammond back in the ranks. A memorable concert at London's Marquee Club on 19th November 1980 was recorded and eventually released in 2002.
