Gave this to my wife for Mother’s Day and she loves remembering/looking at family pictures when she’s having a tough day at work or just playing looking at it. The clarity, contrast and color produces great vivid pictures. Definitely recommend.

The Aura Carver frame has a nice finish and look with a very nice display. The intelligent pairing is a nice feature because even if you have pictures from different times, it will still pair them up on the split screen based on similarities in the photos. set up is very easy, just install the app, pair and go. You can either dump photos directly into the app, or link to google photos the scheduler is a nice touch so that its not running all night while noone's awake. No need to have a bright screen lighting up a dark room for no reason. also, its convenient to add members to the frame account so anyone can add pictures from their devices. you don't need one central device. the touch bar on top is handy but a touch screen may have been nicer and allowed for more usability. While there are very nice features with this frame, there are more than a few cons with it. The connector is a big one. Instead of using USB-C or even microUSB, it opts for proprietary connector. Everyone has so many chargers and cables laying around this seems unnecessary. The design of the frame is such that you an also only keep it in landscape mode. This is silly since nowadays most pictures taken with phones tend to be in portrait. variable orientation would have been nice. Ideally it'd have had a flat back with a foldout stand so you'd have the ability to wall mount. Also, other frames where you load pictures up onto internal storage or USB/microSD, this is cloud based ONLY, so if you lose internet you lose pictures. To expand on that, you can only use google photos or the Aura app for pictures. There are many other widely used cloud services that would have been nice to have support for; Amazon photos, dropbox, Box, etc Finally the price, it commands quite a price tag. For less, you can get something a smart display that can not only show pictures, but also do many other functions, or even just get a tablet on a nice stand. These can achieve the same and more for similar cost. It is hard to justify this kind of sticker for what is essentially a wifi monitor with all of the limitations noted above.
