    Subtle gradient with smooth print

I am new to 3D printing and this was the first filament I printed with. I did dry it for the recommended 8 hours before use. It printed very smoothly and looked great combined with white filament. The gradient is very subtle changing from blue to green, so don't expect a bold color contrast.

  • Is this glow filament only to be used with a hard metal nozzle?

the "ocean to meadow" filament does not glow, but if you are using glow filament, you need a hardened steel nozzle, you can get one from the bambu website. It may say "hot end" bambu makes their hot end and nozzle a single piece that gets swapped out together. As for the filament, yes, glow filament has pieces of glow stuff that will tear up a standard metal nozzle. Hardened steel, titanium, or tungsten are your goto options. The last 2 will be much more expensive but last forever and be usable with things that are more abrasive. (both are harder than hardened steel)

  • How many feet of pla is on the spool

it's not measured in feet, or length at all. It's measured by weight. In kilograms. It's 1 kilogram. Now you could do the math to figure up what it is approximately. 1.75mm diameter filament. The formula is this: Length = Mass ÷ (Density × π × (d / 2)²) the specs are 1.20g per cm cubed, 1.75mm diameter, and 1000 grams a spool. That comes out to 346.46 meters or 1136.67979 ft. I recommend getting used to metric though, thats what is used exclusively in 3d printing. Also the web address for the filament calculator is here: https://voxelfuse3d.com/news/how-many-meters-of-filament-in-1kg-pla-filament/ and you can get the specs for your specific filament from the filament manufacturers website, in this case bambu labs. Things like density are not the same for every brand or even every color of filament within a brand. Hope that helped.
