About this product
Vinyl LP pressing. Is the long-awaited third album by acclaimed UK out-rock trio Beak comprised of Portishead's Geoff Barrow, Robert Plant bassist Billy Fuller and Will Young aka Moon Gangs. It follows-up their 2012 studio album, an alter ego split EP and the 2016 score for Couple In A Hole. #definitely sounds like a step forward and finds the band continuing to forge their own genre of oddness. The production and feel of the first two albums was like listening through frosted glass; a band playing behind a curtain. Now we hear Beak in sharp focus, but without forfeiting what the band see as it's 'wrongness'. This could be the result of having played bigger stages and festivals - something that was never part of the plan - or perhaps it is just a reaction to the infinite cut and paste fuzz pedal kraut bands on the planet. Full-color single-pocket jacket with matte varnish.

Glorious The Ultimate Collection by Bananarama - Bananarama are releasing Glorious The Ultimate Collection, a new compilation that celebrates four decades of music. This set features 16 tracks, chosen by Sara and Keren with more recent output sharing space with the familiar hits of the 1980s. Sara says, InchWe wanted this to be a unique collection, a celebration of all the twists and turns in our career. We compiled endless lists of songs, album tracks and hit singles and whittled it down to forty our favourite tracks from the past four decades.Inch
This is the fourth Beak studio album, imaginatively titled . At it's core we always wanted it to be head music - listened to as an album, not as individual songs. This is why we are releasing this album with no singles or promo tracks. The recording and writing initially began in a house called Pen y Bryn in Talsarnau, Wales in the fallout from the weirdness of the COVID days. Remote and with only ourselves and the view of Portmeirion in the distance, we got to work. With the opening track, InchStrawberry LineInch (our tribute to our dear furry friend Alfie Barrow, who appears on the albums cover) as the metronomic guide for the album, we then resumed recording, as before, at Invada studios in Bristol, whilst still touring around Europe and North/South America. After playing hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years we felt that touring had started to influence our writing to the point we weren't sure who we were anymore. So we decided to go back to the origins of where we were at on our first album - with zero expectations and just playing together in a room. Hopefully we have achieved this.
