Berywam - No Instrument - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Limited edition vinyl LP pressing. Dodge and Burn features eight brand new songs, along with the four previously released tracks remixed and remastered. Alison Mosshart, Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence spent their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville. Thankfully the thick and heavy Dodge and Burn will satisfy your urges for the dark magic that is The Dead Weather for a very long time. Born as a one-off collaboration between friends and tour mates, The Dead Weather has since evolved into one of the most vital and provocative bands in contemporary rock 'n' roll.

For eighteen years, Philadelphia's mewithoutYou has been a banner name for fans across genres because of their kinetic and truly original style. On their latest [Untitled] Album, the band continues to create the same intensity that has captivated fans for almost two decades. The record was produced by Will Yip at nearby Studio 4, the same place where 2015's epic Pale Horses was tracked. While elements of the band's signature sound still remain, there are new aspects at work. Lead single InchJulia (or, 'Holy To the LORD' on the Bells of Horses)Inch is an explosive slow-burner. Marked by a soaring guitar refrain that echoes throughout the first verse, vocalist Aaron Weiss' other-worldly lyrics are sung rather than shouted through his renown spoken-word style. As a whole the record moves like seasons - songs shift between chaos and intimacy, frailty and strength, cacophony and harmony with expert navigation.

Dylan Baldi maintains simple, admirable standards in quality. InchA thing I like to do with all of my records is drive around with them,Inch the 25-year-old Cloud Nothings frontman says. InchIn high school, I would listen to music for hours like that just driving through the suburbs of Cleveland. And if it sounds good to me in that context and I can think of high school me listening to it and saying, 'That's okay,' I feel good about the record. This is the one that's felt best.Inch InchThisInch is Life Without Sound, the radiant, far-far-better-than okay fourth full-length his rock outfit has recorded since he began writing and releasing songs on his own under the Cloud Nothings alias in 2008. While it's highly acclaimed predecessor-2014's Here and Nowhere Else-came together spontaneously, in the little time that touring allowed, Life Without Sound took shape under far less frenetic circumstances.
