About this product
Los Angeles band Bondo balances force & restraint. Their music is world-building in a science fiction sort of way. The four-piece has honed their own type of post-rock/slowcore, built upon a strong foundation of live dynamics and a proprietary instrumental language. Their sound is narrative-like a dream logic which is both intuitive and natural. Their most recent album finds Bondo once again playing live, combing through songs they know well with sincerity. While continuity persists through their 11 track offering, the band demonstrates a range of songwriting styles. Some tracks are more traditional, featuring verses and choruses that are easy to latch onto. Others rely on their signature instrumental sound, building subtle structures while still allowing room for meditations that ultimately dissolve into space.FFO Duster, Acetone, Slint

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and legendary duo Daryl Hall and John Oates are reissuing 'Marigold Sky', their fifteenth studio album and their first to be released as independent artists back in 1997. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the album, it is being made available for the first time on double LP, as well as an expanded CD that includes three bonus tracks previously unavailable on the original album . Regarded as a fan favourite, the album is a collection of exquisitely crafted soul-pop that is irresistibly smooth, laying bare the mastery of the duo's classic songwriting chops that has been prevalent throughout their career. Includes the singles 'Promise Ain't Enough', 'Romeo Is Bleeding' and 'The Sky Is Falling'.
On the heels of their breakthrough debut album, Wishy returns with a new compilation LP titled Paradise on Planet Popstar. The 11 track LP features their 2023 debut EP Paradise on side A and a brand new, six-song EP titled Planet Popstar on the B side. A dreamy and pop-forward compilation of b-side tracks, the new EP was recorded in the same sessions that birthed Triple Seven, the band's widely acclaimed debut (Inchone of the best indie rock debuts in recent memoryInch says Stereogum). A critical success, Triple Seven recently landed on Inchbest of the yearInch lists from The New York Times, GQ, Alt Press, Paste, Stereogum, Uproxx, NME, and more.Named for the glowing, five pointed star that the iconic bubblegum-pink Nintendo character Kirby hails from, Wishy's latest offering, Planet Popstar, is a bite-sized antidote to the anxiety and precarity of life in the 2020s. A sun-soaked, hazy reflection on the band's central themes-love, life, self-discovery and having fun-it's a compilation of tracks that shows another side of the band's kaleidoscopic sound. Following the enthusiastic reception and critical acclaim of the last year, a buzzy US headline tour, and looking ahead at an already packed-full 2025, the band decided not to leave the remaining songs from the Triple Seven sessions on the cutting room floor.Bolstered by the rare musical synergy between Krauter and Pitchkites, Planet Popstar completes a loose web of vignettes and snapshots capturing them in a whirlwind couple of years - exiting the pandemic, embarking on an embryonic project, making sense of their musical pasts while forging a musical future alongside one another, each of them on a journey of self-acceptance and self-understanding.
