  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: What is the estimated annual operating cost of this dishwasher, and how does it compare to similar models in terms of energy efficiency?

A: The estimated annual operating cost of this Bosch dishwasher is 34 United States dollars. In terms of energy efficiency, it consumes approximately 240 kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which is relatively low compared to similar models in its class.

Q: Can you explain the PureDry drying system and its benefits compared to traditional drying methods?

A: The PureDry drying system is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not draw in outside air. Instead, it gently whisks moisture away from dishes as they cool, without the use of an exposed heating element. This system ensures that plastics can be safely placed anywhere in the dishwasher and helps to reduce energy consumption compared to traditional drying methods.

Q: How does the built-in water softener contribute to the quality of the dishes?

A: The built-in water softener helps ensure optimally spot-free and shiny dishes by removing minerals that can cause water spots and dullness. Softened water allows for better detergent performance, resulting in cleaner and more sparkling dishes.

Q: What is the capacity of this dishwasher in terms of place settings, and how does it accommodate larger loads or bulky items?

A: This Bosch dishwasher has a capacity of 15 place settings. To accommodate larger loads or bulky items, it features the RackMatic system, which allows the upper rack to be adjusted to three different heights and up to nine separate rack positions. This flexibility ensures that even tall items like stemware can fit in the middle rack while leaving room for pots and pans below.

Q: Does this dishwasher have a child lock feature to prevent accidental operation, especially in households with young children?

A: Yes, this Bosch dishwasher has a child lock feature to prevent accidental operation, ensuring safety in households with young children. The Child Lock feature is mentioned in the product specifications.

Q: Why is a separate hookup kit required for installation, and where can I find it?

A: A separate hookup kit is required for installation because it is not included with the dishwasher purchase. You can find the hookup kit in the accessories section on the product page.

Q: Can you provide more information about the water consumption per cycle and how it compares to other dishwashers in terms of water efficiency?

A: The water consumption per cycle for this dishwasher is 3 gallons. Compared to other dishwashers, it is considered to be water-efficient.

Q: How does the integrated water softener work, and what are the benefits of having this feature in a dishwasher?

A: The integrated water softener works by removing minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, from the water supply. This prevents these minerals from building up on dishes and glassware, leaving them spot-free and shiny. The water softener also helps to extend the life of the dishwasher by preventing scale buildup in the machine.

      FRUSTRATED APPLIANCE OWNER ALERT

FRUSTRATED APPLIANCE OWNER ALERT ⚠️ My experience with Bosch dishwashers has been nothing short of disappointing. After our first model (SGE63E15UC/50) failed with persistent E15 errors (water leakage detection), we invested in a new model (SGE53C55UC) in January 2024. Less than a year later, history is repeating itself - now getting E-61-03 errors and water remains trapped in the sump. Multiple cleaning attempts of filters and pumps haven't resolved the issue. For the premium price Bosch charges, this level of reliability is unacceptable. I've sent a formal complaint letter and am awaiting their response. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Bosch appliances? Any success stories with their customer service? Or recommendations for more reliable dishwasher brands? #HomeAppliances #ConsumerRights #BoschProblems

      Another lost customer for Bosch

Dishwasher refused to power on after two months. Service tech was able to confirm that the unit is both receiving power and that power is coming to the control panel, but was unwilling to disassemble the unit in my home to test various components as requested by Bosch customer service. Bosch refused my warranty claim due to “environmental” concerns, claiming that the reason the unit failed was because it wasn’t getting enough power. I had so much trust in the Bosch brand before this experience and even recommended them to friends and family. Guess I’ll be buying a new dishwasher from Miele, since they will actually stand behind their product.

      Bosch Dishwasher

Love my Bosch dishwasher. It's so quite. The dishes come out sparkling. The service people that came out to install were very knowledgeable and explained everything that I needed to know. Also super friendly.
