  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Condenser drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: The answer given did not answer the question I asked! All dishwashers have at least one dry cycle - my current one has both a heated drying cycle and an air dry cycle and I want to know if the Bosch has both as I don't want just a heated dry cycle.

A: Hi there, thank you for your question. Bosch dishwashers only offer a heated dry cycle, however it’s not the standard heated dry cycle. All Bosch dishwashers use condensation drying, which is a safer, cleaner and more energy efficient process.

Q: Does this dishwasher have an air dry cycle?

A: This model does have a drying cycle as well as an Extra Dry setting (which should be used with the Sanitize setting) to extend the drying cycle. It does dry the dishes very well except for a few glasses and other items that have a lip on the bottom. Water sometimes doesn't evaporate for these items. The key to best drying for this dishwasher is to let the dishwasher stay closed until the door is cold. Then you know that the dishes are as dry as they are going to get.

Q: I hv this dw.love it. except 4 wet dog smell when I open dw. Sometimes no smell, 10 min later u smell wet dog. last 4 wks. Now no smell. returning it. tried everything. installed right. cant figure it out. 800 reviews, same problem. WHY?

A: The smell comes from the water proof material inside. Run 1-2 cycles with sanitize plus extended heat with a cup of vinegar inside. Otherwise the smell is gradually gone.

Q: We are very happy with the cleaning however even with the sanitize and extra dry our dishes are still very wet. Could you further detail what trouble shooting I could do to solve the problem? Maybe a covered vent or additional attachment?

A: I previously had a Bosch dishwasher that dried everything in its path. The Bosch dishwasher we purchased recently does not have a heating element for drying, subsequently the first time it was used was alarming. We were not made aware of this “change” in performance and in all honesty, we are deeply disappointed in the performance. Even using the rinsing agent, the door when opened is wet. This may very well be the way Bosch is making things today, but when your buying a product you’ve had great success with, it is the sales persons responsibility to make you aware of operational changes. My expectation was that it would perform like the other, and it is not even close.

Q: Does this mount from the top, sides, or could it be either?

A: Hi there, thank you for your question. Our dishwashers can be either top or side mounted to your cabinetry.

Q: What type of material is this handle....color? Looks white....?....will it stain with normal use?

A: A magnet does not stick to it, so it is not metal. It is a very smooth, slick surface possibly made of plastic. The handle is the same color as the washer itself..white. I doubt that it will stain as it does not appear to be porous at all. We have only had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks but love it. It is extremely quiet, holds a lot of dishes, and does an excellent job of cleaning. Note that you must use a drying agent with every wash. Without the drying agent your dishes will be wet even if they sit overnight.
