Here are the things that I was looking to get answers for when I was researching this dishwasher. First it’s black stainless. It is a gray black not a brown black. It doesn’t show finger prints. It’s a good thing that there is a tiny red light that shines on the floor when it’s running because you can’t hear it. It cleans, I mean really cleans. I refuse to wash my dishes before I wash my dishes. I have tried to put the worst dishes with caked on sausage gravy, bbq sauce, ketchup, salad dressing. You name it. I even left the yuck stuck on them for days and they come out SPARKLING!! Don’t worry that there isn’t a heating element. It dries your dishes. I seriously can’t say enough great things about this Bosch dishwasher. The only slight con is the same con consumer report had...configuration. The top rack... I use for shaker cup lids, cutlery, measuring cups. The 2nd...rack cups, glasses, bowls. The 3rd rack (this is where it’s not perfect. Some of the tines are close together which makes it creative for pots pans and large items. But I don’t care. THIS IS THE BEST DISHERWASHER EVER!!! Sorry I got excite I just can believe how well it cleans, and how unbelievably quiet it is.

After going back and forth on two different brand dishwasher to purchase, we decided on the 800 series Bosch. Our initial concern was drying of dishes without heating elements. I am so glad to have bought the Bosch 800. The dishes dry almost completely, plastics have a few drops on them, but the quality if the wash if far better than any previous dishwasher I have ever owned. There is some installation concerns if you are replacing an existing unit that does not have plumbing and electrical connections in the Bosch locations. And the remote transformer that is needed to be installed outside the standard dishwasher cavity. With a few new holes in our cabinetry, we were able to install this with not too much trouble. The end result justified the additional install work. As a bonus, it is by far the quietest dishwasher I have seen.

This is a great appliance! It cleans well and the fact that i can’t actually really hear when it is running is the best plus for me! The third rack for small things had been the most convenient with kids and the amount of meals I cook!

We are very pleased with this dishwasher it does an excellent job of cleaning, it is very quiet, and I love the adjustable rack. Our other appliances are slate, and this black stainless finish looks nice with them.

We needed a quiet and higher end model for an open floor plan kitchen, since the sink was in close proximity to our living area TV and this was perfect. It runs extremely quiet and we don’t realize it’s running until you see the LED red light indicator shining on the floor, telling you that is in a cycle. The only time it really makes any type of moderate noise is when it drains to the sink, which is very quick and really isn’t a negative in my opinion. I highly recommend this model for anyone needing a quiet wash and a pretty thorough cleaning.

Very quiet, love the 3rd rack for the odd small items such as chop sticks & straws. Anyone that complains about how this loads shouldn’t reproduce... Great for parties with wine tastings due to short wash cycles. Excellent for heavy loads with many pots & pans. Overall, it operates as advertised. Side note plus, built in our state.
It looks as good as a dishwasher can. I like not having a brand name advertised on the front panel and the recessed handle gives it a clean look. It’s also very quiet. My only criticism is lack of a built in disposal, but I’m not giving Bosch a star demerit because I couldn’t find a modern dishwasher that still has a disposal. Clean out procedure is simple enough and the missing disposal does make it quieter and more energy efficient. Bonus points for being manufactured in New Bern, NC

I love my new black, stainless steel Bosch dishwasher! It’s sleek, energy efficient and gets my dishes sparking clean and dry! The black stainless steel styling of the dishwasher against my gray cabinets look amazing and have upped the style of my kitchen considerably. BestBuy delivered and installed the unit in under 30 min. The Geek Squad guys were efficient and helpful in previewing the features of the unit before they left. I’m very happy with my purchase. It’s been over one month.

You get what you pay for when you buy a Bosch - a high quality appliance with excellent cleaning ability, versatile rack layout, and ultra-quiet operation. Thank goodness there is a red light that shines on the floor when it is on because it is so that quiet you can't actually tell - the ticking of my kitchen clock is louder! And Best Buy installation was punctual, quick, courteous, and professional - in fact flawless. Highly recommended!

I have looked at all options and the Bosh might rarely ever be on sale but it is money well spent . The black stainless steel finish comes in flat only the touchscreen option is easy to use . You will not hear this washer run but the right bottom red LED light will indicate that the dishwasher is running . When thI cycle finished you will hear a quiet beep

This is the second Bosch dishwasher we have owned. The previous one was a 44 db model. This one is 42db and whisper quiet. It cleans very well including baking dishes. The "so far" in the title makes reference to the tension mechanism on the door. The last one had a design flaw and failed several times. Fingers crossed for the mechanism on this one.

Wow, this Bosch cleans really well and is super quiet. I did not give it 5 stars as I think the door is a little difficult to open and there is a learning curve on how to use the settings, some do not go together. It's not a simple one touch so it requires, at least for me, reading over the manual. The first time I ran it, everything was very wet at the end of the cycle, and there was a strong food odor. The next time, things were dry except for water that pools in bottom of inverted cups. This is unavoidable with all dishwashers I've used. I like the red light letting me know it's on as that's how quiet it is. I think the cycles take longer than my old dishwasher so allow time. It seems to have plenty of room. I had to remove the top 3rd rack to put tall glasses in but it is easy to take on and off.

This is my second bosch dishwasher. the first did not perform as advertised. This one, though, does - pretty much as advertised. The manufacturer claims that you don't need to rinse the dishes before putting in the dishwasher. And in most cases, this held true. There have been a handful of times that this didn't work - when i made a meatloaf, the baked on remains didn't not get removed. I did not rinse baked on oatmeal and it cleaned it well But in general, it works flawlessly. Incredibly quiet. As for loading - although i've seen reviews people complaining about this, i've had no issues. In fact, i probably run my dishwasher more frequently as it's so easy to use and don't need to overload it. Only 1 complaint . sometimes after interrupting the cycle, you have to press the "resume" button - which you may forget and then the cycle wouldn't restart...there is a glowing red light that flashes telling you it's not running...but that is easily learned. I highly recommend this product

Barely hear it when it runs. Cleans the dishes well. Lots of space. Drys just ok. Sometimes a lingering smell stays in it if I leave the door closed after a cycle.

Have used daily for a month now and could not be happier. This replaced an older, top of the line LG. The Bosch is so much quieter, and cleans dishes much better than the previous LG. The dishwasher was installed quickly and efficiently by Best Buy. It has many settings, but after trying "normal" with "extra dry" and "sanitize", I ended up using the "auto" most often. An "auto" load takes 2:09 to complete, dishes come out clean and dry. It handles pots, pans, baking ceramics, casseroles, as well as dishes and glassware.

Have used this dishwasher for 8 months and am very happy with it. It is noticeably quiet...so much so that you DO need the red light which projects on the floor to tell you it is on. The only noise from it is when it is draining. The BEST thing about it, however, is that I no longer am rinsing or soaking most dishes before loading it. They come out clean using the recommended Finish brand of detergent. The cycle time is about 2 hours and longer than I am used to, but I can adapt.

This dishwasher has it all. Super silent, great loading configuration, cleanest dishes of any dishwasher I have used. Love omitting the heating element; no need for one if you choose the sanitize option - not really needed on the auto option either and this allows plastics to be anywhere.

Recently bought this Bosch 800 series dishwasher after replacing an 11 year old Kitchenaid. I had done research and saw that the Bosch 800 was highly rated from various sources. First of all, this dishwasher is ridiculously quiet. If the red LED wasn't lit when it was on, it would be tough to know it was running. And I thought my previous dishwasher was quiet enough. Second, it amazes me how much more I can fit in this dishwasher... while dishwashers are the same physical size, Bosch has really optimized the layout to maximize space. The tines on the first and second racks are adjustable. I will say that once we adjusted it to a setting that worked for us, we haven't needed to change it since. Third, the adjustable second rack is great to fit pots and pans and anything that may have an irregular height. This dishwasher has a third rack that is somewhat flexible. I wish it was a bit more flexible, like if it had an adjustable height. I use it to clean spatulas, measuring cups, etc. You can put utensils there, but all of my utensils fit in the basket. It would be great if I could have squeezed a few more bowls up there, but mine are deep and don't fit. Overall, this is the best dishwasher we've ever had. We went with the pocket handle so that we didn't have another handle style in the kitchen, since our other appliances are different brands. Style is a personal choice. The run time is a little over 2 hours and 2:30 if you run it on Extra Dry and Auto. I saw many reviews complaining about drying. We've had no issues, but then we don't really wash anything plastic in the dishwasher, which is what typically is more difficult to dry using the Bosch condensation method. We also use a rinse aid. The dishes come out extremely clean, with no residue. Overall, it's an excellent dishwasher.
