This machine is fantastic. Sturdy. I enjoy the varied programs and resistance. There’s a USB port on console for phone/tablet. It’s quieter than a treadmill and only takes up a 2.5x4ft footprint.

I got this Max trainer M8 as an upgrade from my 5 yr. old Bowflex. Over all it's a much better machine, very easy to use and easy assemble but unfortunately a month after I had it. It started to make a clicking noise while I'm riding it and the screen also locks up. I called customer service and they got me a new one delivered and the broken one picked up in just a few days. We were happy with the replacement, so far it didn't have any mechanical problem or any other issues with the screen but we noticed that there was a chip on the plastic housing at area close to were you attach the screen. I guess it was damage in the packaging but no big deal, I don't want to exchange it just for that and the machine is great and We are enjoying it.

I’ve had the M8 for over a month now and so far love it! It’s compact and relatively quiet. With increased resistance, it gives the ideal combination of cardio and strength exercise in a single workout. My only complaint is that I have not been able to sync the workouts with my phone. For this price I would have expected easier connectivity. But aside from manually logging calories, it’s working just as I hoped it would.

Although it provided a good workout, this machine was loud from the start and within a few months was squeaking and thumping even louder. After 1 year of use 4-5 times a week, the metal crankshaft sheared off during a workout. I called support and sent a picture, and Bowflex sent a replacement engine assembly under the warranty. Within a few months it started thunking loudly again, and now it is barely usable. The same metal shaft has worn down and slips on every rotation. This trainer is discontinued, but I would not buy it used. If I had known about this problem, I would not have bought it new, and I will never buy another Bowflex product. Apparently this is a common problem with their ellipticals. Maybe they use inferior parts, or it's a bad design, or they skimp on quality assurance... or all of the above.

I had been a regular gym patron (before the recent shutdowns). I had been using an elliptical (matrix I believe), so I wanted something similar for home use. I took a chance on this and have been pleased with it so far. I am actually getting a better workout with this machine (calorie and heart rate). The small footprint is what I needed. A bit pricey, but if it holds up it will be worth it. I caught this on a deal of the day, and saved a nice chunk of cash.

Great workout and features. Bit on the pricey side. Definitely need two people to assemble this thing but it wasn't very hard. Just read the instructions and take your time.

This machine is AMAZING! Takes some time but was easy to set up, simple to use although the workouts aren't so easy, boy does this machine make me sweat! LOL Excellent cardio workout with zero impact to my knees, hips, and spine. Fairly small footprint. Only issue we have is a low basement ceiling, my husband is 5'9" and comes close to hitting his head on the ceiling joists (I'm shorter so not an issue); if you're a taller human definitely consider ceiling height because this machine will increase your height by a whole foot just by standing on it.

Quarantine buy to replace my daily gym elliptical routine. So far so good, there have been minor creaks but a few cranks of an allen wrench took care of them. Got it on a daily deal so saved a bit from the list price, highly recommend if that comes around again.

Quality could be better for what I paid for this. Servo motor went bad in less than 4 months. Manufacture was nice enough to send me a replacement motor but I will have to change my own or pay for labor. Even better they tried to sell me a service plan on this. I should have some better coverage on this for the money there are charging for this. I was able to change that motor, which was very complicated took me half a day. I had to dissect the whole machine. NOT FUN. But now I know how to change it next time. Other than that hiccup the machine is good. I felt it is overpriced due to quality and support issue.

This was a great purchase for us to get our workouts at home. Covid has caused us to not want to go to the gym. This machine feels sturdy and gives a great workout. The price is a bit high but very quality machine. We put it together ourselves in about 2 hours. We would definitely recommend this Bowflex!!

Exactly what I was looking for given the absence of the gym during the lockdown. A small footprint means it nicely fits into a corner of a room like a stationary bike. Easy to put together and great to use. The training videos on the app are great too.

This is a great machine that has plenty of programs and adjustable resistance levels so you can get the workout that is best suited to you and increase difficulty as you go. If you get the Jrny app to go with it, it helps to keep you on track and ups your difficulty as you go.

I love the Max Trainer M8 Elliptical. It is a great workout. It is a cross between a stair climber and elliptical. I have really seen results in just a few months. I am really glad I purchased it.

Living a busy life does not allow for a lot of time to workout. 14 mins a day in the comfort of my own home is absolutley perfect!
