A: If you are referring to the holes on the stands trays, they weren't supposed to be used to mount your dumbbbell trays. The dumbbell trays have the same trapezoid shape as the inserts you should've installed when assembling the stand. When placing the trays on the stand, make sure those stand inserts got inside the matching holes on your trays. The included straps with buckle should be the ones to hold the tray down.
