Q: I simply want to print a label with the date and time on it without hooking this up to a computer. Can this label printer do this independently with the push of a button on the printer itself once programmed properly?

A: The Brother QL820NWB does not have this feature.

Q: How would you hook it up to your computer? Do I need an HDMI cord or a USB cord, or is it wireless?

A: The 'w' in the model name 'nwb' means wireless.... You can connect via wi-fi or bluetooth in addition to ethernet or USB.

Q: Does it work with a Chromebook

A: The Brother QL820NWB is compatible with Google Chrome.

Q: I need to label storage tubs and I want to use the widest 4" tape to print something like "PAINT" or 'FABRIC" horizontally with a large font that uses most of the tape's width. I don't see an example of this fairly straightforward application. Possible?

A: Once the label is inserted in to machine, change to the correct label format and select the size.

Q: does paper label have different size? from the picture I can see it take credit card size paper. What If I want smaller paper, will it take smaller paper?

A: Yes. Will print all kinds of different size labels. Just Google 'labels' and the printer name and you'll see what is available.

Q: Can he print ID Card?

A: The QL-820NWB can print an ID label.

Q: Is this compatable with Windows10

A: Yes, this is compatible with Windows 10

Q: Can it print barcodes?

A: Yes it prints barcodes, the check-in system we use on the QL-820NWB generates a barcode that is too small so the bars/spaces are indistinct. Scanning them is not possible. All that to say YES it printer barcodes but "scan-ability" depends on the program generating them.
