bestbuy had it in stock for us sooner than any other seller we could find, local and big box. the fridge is a thing of beauty when complete, the counter depth is noticeably more shallow than standard and we don’t (so far) miss food getting lost behind other things. lighting is great. ice maker is very loud and considering looking for a silicone bucket or liner to see if this would help reduce noise. the freezer interior drawer is tethered to the main freezer door and does not pull out smoothly. the big hiccup with the fridge is that the manufacturer shipped without the handles and took hours on the phone, at least four separate calls with best buy employees and with LG representatives. if something like this happens to your order, go directly to LG, otherwise bestbuy submits a return for your fridge and ships a new one, planning on leaving the new fridge without handles, and then having to deal with the same issue for somebody else. aside from that, it’s been a few weeks and i’d totally update my review if it’s possible to do so in a year or so. oh, and the sides are black

For being a fairly expensive fridge the quality is not quite there. Seems to be working just fine, but the outside corners where the plastic meets the white are coming up. Gaps, some with glue, which will become filed with grime over time. Also the plastic wrap does not come all the way off

I absolutely love the look of this refrigerator in our new kitchen. The “brushed gold” hardware looks more rose gold and I wish the white side panels weren’t sold separately. Thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty, the compressor went out after only 14 months, now it is super loud but the tech says that’s “normal” also the water dispenser should have the push button on the bottom to lean a cup on to fill.

I researched my appliances and opted for the GE Range with two oven then looked for the matching refrigerator. I love this refrig especially with the brass handles and I kept the stainless steel ones in case I want to swap them back at some point. I’ve had side by side models in the past, so this was a change that I really like. I wanted clean lines and had read door ice and water dispensers can be an issue since you have a ice dispenser on the refrigerated portion of your model. That is not specific to this model, but a technician’s comment in general. I opted for water dispenser on the inside and it works well that way. The inside is very bright with lights that illuminate back into the fridge and it’s spacious with all the drawers and shelves. You do have to intentionally push the doors closed, but it will signal if the doors are ajar. I’ve learned to open and close it with the handles since fingerprints will show on the front, but it’s easy to clean. Overall, I’m very happy with this GE Cafe model.

warranty service is the worst. compressor went out in the first year. It was covered but so difficult to get a live person and when you do they transfer you to another and another 30 min plus hold. Looks fabulous but that's about it.

Looks fantastic! Modern sleek and quiet. The only downside is not getting the choice of color with the handles. To change from rose gold to black to match my decor is $500.

I have loved this unit. It looks much more expensive than it costs, like a restaurant grade refrigerator. My little kids haven't managed (and they try) to dent, scratch or pull handles/doors off. Impressive! Keeps consistent temperature, looks sleek and modern, which fits our midcentury modern home. The inside water dispenser is awesome. If my kids spill water, it goes onto the inside shelf, which is easy to wipe (vs. our old outside water dispenser that water would fall onto my wood floors and warped them!) I took out two shelves and configured it they way I like. Very easy, user-friendly.

We love the GE Café appliances! We were planning on using this in our new kitchen but when the new model arrived we traded this in for the new model. Nothing we didn't like with this model it was just that we wanted to latest and greatest.

In love with this refrigerator. Very spacious and easy to clean. No finger prints to clean up! The lighting is great.

The refrigerator is great and exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, the system was delivered with several scratches on the corners of the door, so we have to schedule an exchange. Swapping the contents from one machine to another is a hassle. BB support was great and offered to exchange it as soon as possible, but it shouldn't have been delivered that way.

I was nervous to spend this much on a refrigerator and the reviews also was mixed, but I must say I’m glad I trusted my gut and made this purchase. We absolutely love and had no issues with it this far the perfect addition to our luxury kitchen

Excellent fridge. I got the floor model so while it isn’t absolutely perfect looking it is still stunning and looks beautiful in my kitchen.

Whisper quiet and absolutely beautiful. This refrigerator is a focal point of the kitchen in our urban townhouse's kitchen. We never hear it. This particular line of GE Cafe is really really attractive. Unfortunately, the refrigerator is the best of the line up and is fine - not great. The other appliances in the line look expensive but range from adequate to poor. The refrigerator is efficient and cools and freezes acceptably. For some reason, the unit seems to hold less than I expected compared to other units of its size - in particular the freezer. Speaking of the freezer, the roll out door feels cheap and unreliable. Unlike other GE Cafe products that I own that feel solid, this line comes up short. I find myself treating them like fine china so they last and watch my children closely to make sure that they are being gentle with the doors. If you love the look, go for it or check out the LG line for comparison that has a similar look. But if you are not willing to risk quality over aesthetic, don't mimic my mistake - look elsewhere.

A simple, elegant, classic fridge (compared to others in recent years), and that's what I was looking for. Very quiet and roomy in the fridge section. You can hear ice drop, which is no big deal; I just wish the fridge would produce ice faster. And now that I see the ice in the freezer, I wish that the "ice bucket" were larger so as to hold more ice. The freezer section is smaller than I thought when I originally purchased the item. The drawer design seems to take up a lot of space, so I'm considering buying a separate freezer and keeping it in the garage. In any case, no regrets in buying this counter-depth French Door fridge.
