Q: Is the bottom of the freezer door solid, or more like a wire mesh?
A: The bottom of the freezer drawer is solid. So is the small drawer on the top where the icemaker is. There is also a cool little tilt out shelf in the door itself that is great for ice packs and small bags of veggies.
A: Yes there is an ice maker and a storage tray...have been very happy about amount of ice produced. Water spout is inside the refrigerator on the left side... not an easy fill for pots or pans but ok for items like water bottles.
Q: Do the doors make the width of the fridge wider? Or do the door hinges swivel?
A: The doors do not swivel, so if you have a wall or cupboard on one side that are the depth of the refrigerator, it will need to be pulled out beyond the doors. So while the refrigerator is counter depth, it will stick out the depth of the doors. The big door handles make it appear to stick out even further.

The installation instructions state to not install the refrigerator where the temperature will go above 100°F (37°C) because it will not perform properly. We hope this is useful information to you. Q: How many drawers/ compartments are in the bottom freezer? I.e. how is it organized?
A: There is an upper drawer with a center divider -- one side is the ice bin for the ice maker; under that is a slightly larger divided in half bin. There is a small amount of storage on the drawer door.

beautiful fridge and worth the wait.
bestbuy had it in stock for us sooner than any other seller we could find, local and big box. the fridge is a thing of beauty when complete, the counter depth is noticeably more shallow than standard and we don’t (so far) miss food getting lost behind other things. lighting is great. ice maker is very loud and considering looking for a silicone bucket or liner to see if this would help reduce noise. the freezer interior drawer is tethered to the main freezer door and does not pull out smoothly. the big hiccup with the fridge is that the manufacturer shipped without the handles and took hours on the phone, at least four separate calls with best buy employees and with LG representatives. if something like this happens to your order, go directly to LG, otherwise bestbuy submits a return for your fridge and ships a new one, planning on leaving the new fridge without handles, and then having to deal with the same issue for somebody else. aside from that, it’s been a few weeks and i’d totally update my review if it’s possible to do so in a year or so. oh, and the sides are black

Inside great, outside not
For being a fairly expensive fridge the quality is not quite there. Seems to be working just fine, but the outside corners where the plastic meets the white are coming up. Gaps, some with glue, which will become filed with grime over time. Also the plastic wrap does not come all the way off

Sleek look
I absolutely love the look of this refrigerator in our new kitchen. The “brushed gold” hardware looks more rose gold and I wish the white side panels weren’t sold separately. Thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty, the compressor went out after only 14 months, now it is super loud but the tech says that’s “normal” also the water dispenser should have the push button on the bottom to lean a cup on to fill.
