Q: Is there an ice tray in the door or can you only get ice from the outside door
A: Only from outside the door.
A: Hello there, we're so sorry to see you're having issues with your ice maker. This is never what we want for our consumers and we're happy to help. You can use the settings menu on the touchscreen to turn the ice maker on and off. If the dispenser on your refrigerator is not dispensing ice at all, please check the following things to see if it is something you can fix yourself or if your refrigerator requires repair service. 1) Make sure the doors are fully closed. 2) Frozen ice in the bucket can cause only crushed ice to be dispensed or keep ice from dispensing at all. The bucket can be removed and rinsed with warm water. If the condition reappears, the icemaker may be leaking or overfilling which would require service. 3) Ice may occasionally jam in the ice chute. If this occurs, open the left refrigerator door, open the ice box door on the inside of the left door, then remove the ice bucket. Place a container in the dispenser recess on the outside of the door. Using a wooden spoon, push the ice out of the chute into the container in the recess. 4) It is possible that moisture or frost could have formed behind the freezer wall on the auger motor. For this, set the dispenser for cubed ice, take a glass, and push in on the cradle and hold in for 30 to 60 seconds. This will allow the motor to run to create some heat to melt the moisture or frost. If it doesn't dispense after 1 minute, then service would be required. If you need it fixed, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We're confident they would be able to make sure you get taken care of if needed. The 4 pre-programmed temperatures include: 90° for warm, 150° cocoa, 170° tea or instant coffee, 185° soup, or a custom temperature setting with temperatures between 90° and 185°. If you want your water heated ahead of time, consider downloading the Kitchen - GE Appliances app (available through the Apple App Store and Google Play). Using the App, you can schedule hot water for any day and any time. When using the App, your hot water temperature will be maintained for 15 minutes. The refrigerator purchased from Best Buy was dropped when it was delivered breaking a wheel. Upon exchange the second refrigerator had a botched paint job on one door and slightly on the other. A third one was delivered with same issue. I have been unsuccessful in getting ahold of a manager or anyone with authority to fix the problem and it’s been close to two months since I originally ordered.
